In Short – Transforming the former Houlihan's space into an upscale casual party scene for the Galleria/Uptown set, this restaurant and bar packs in a mix of diners and margarita swillers mingling in the bar. The sunlit dining room skips border-style kitsch for tasteful décor, an ample bar area and a well-appointed patio. The menu includes breakfast served 24 hours and Tex-Mex staples like fajitas, tacos, enchiladas and burritos. Signature touches include a creamy chipotle sauce and mesquite-smoked brisket.
Editor's Tips

THIS PLACE SUCKS
by TallTexan
Maggie Ritas on Kirby at Shepherd Quality of Food has gone down and the prices has gone up. General Manager J.R. Gonzalez is very rude when you complain the service. On April 5, 2012 we made our weekly visit to the former Ninfa's and they were not playing music! The reason that a patron had a sleeping baby so there was no music! What is a Mexican Restaurant without music?? It was like a morgue. They will not survive long! The one in Galveston has already bitten the dust! Bring Ninfa's back!
never again

GOOD PLACE TO GO FOR FAMILY AND DATES
- Pros: great view of patio, GOOD FOOD,GOOD FROZEN MARGARITAS
I would be embarrassed

The first time i went there, my girl and i had a few top-shelf ritas on the patio and it was just fine. The patio wasn't busy and the view of the galleria is nice.
The 2nd and LAST time i went there with a friend we had some ritas and we actually ate. The house ritas were small and poor quality as to be expected but were still $4 during happy hr. I ordered the beef tacos al carbon and when they came out the beef tasted like a barn! I sent them back and got the crispy chicken tacos that were almost equally bad. My friend got the veggie quesadillas that came out missing ingredients.
The bartender ladies were scary looking and looked like they couldn't control a paddle boat together, let alone a bar. There is a very good reason no one was in this place on a Saturday. Taco bell is better.
This is Houston! Where there are countless great tex-mex places. This might be the worst i've had. These people should be kicked out of the Galleria area and forced to move to Dallas.
- Pros: near the galleria
- Cons: EVERYTHING- Don't GO
go for the bar and bar staff not the food or waitstaff

I went in for happy hour great prices. the food was decent a little pricy the portions were a a good size a little skimpy with the chips and salsa. The service from our waiter was horrible, he did not even really give us the time of day except for when we ordered our food and drinks. I had to go to the bar to get my drink, because the waiter did not care to check on us. The bartender was friendly and seemed to be the only staff person in the restaurant smiling. The manager was yelling at everyone there who was working, I do not think I would be smiling either with a manager like that.
- Pros: good drink prices, good atmosphere
- Cons: the manager/owner, the waitstaff
