Restaurant in decline.
Restaurant in decline. I used to love this place. I expected more when Pappas bought it. Instead it isn't as good as it used to be and it slips in my ranking every time I go. The people behind the counter are friendly but their skills and training lack. They keep it very clean but you can't get anyone to help you when you need something on the floor. The condiment table has been scaled back and the portions are smaller. Even the tea glasses are smaller.
Two of us bought rib plates and were surprised and disappointed by how little meat we got. The bones were the right size, they just didn't have much meat on them. Last time I got the beef plate and the meat wasn't as good as it used to be. That's why I tried the ribs. Probably won't go back. There are better BBQ places that aren't as expensive.
