Credit Card Charged Twice & Customer Support STINKS.
I called the 59/Bissonnet location to try & straighten out an over-charge on my Cc & was very dissatisfied with the shortness/rudeness of the manager. I called the Bellaire store manager to try & get the distict manager's contact info & he was rude. I called the number he gave me & the lady who answerd the phone didn't even listen to what my request was but just transfered me into a black hole, I called her back & SHE was rude.
All three of these "faces of Pappas" had not even the elemetary skllset for customer sevice, they did not listen to or aknowledge the customer's rudementary concern & were short, as if they didn't even comprehend the peson they were speaking to was even another human (more-or-less a customer that helped to make their businees successful & thus their job better secure).
Pappas has illustrated to me that they do not train their employees to value their customers. And if they don't value me as a customer I won't patronize their establishment. They are corporate, mass-quantity, par-quality BBQ anyway. There too much better BBQ & BETTER service in Texas. This ain't New York City.
Worst BBQ I Ever Tatsed.
This is the worst BBQ I have ever had in my life! I recently moved to Houston (lived in 5 different states) and cannot believe that this place is in business.
I had the chopped beef: It was disgusting, soaked in grease, and the sauce was HORRIBLE. I wouldn't even call if BBQ sauce. I have only taken food back because of taste a handful of times in my life, and this is one of them. I couldn't stand eating it.
I exchanged the chopped beef for sliced beef (dry). I made sure to ask if that horrible suace came on it before I got it. It doesn't, but the guy I was talking to told me about their other sauce. HORRIBLE!!! I ate dry BBQ.
I was so diappointed because I wanted good BBQ and read that this place was good. I had a tummy ache from two bites of that chopped beef and will never go there again!
Not so good. We tried the meat sampler (ham, ribs, beef and another meat which I forgot). Only the ribs were good. The rest were either tough or too salty. The 2 side dishes too were not delicious. I would not come back to this restaurant.
Bad food good desert. I thought the food was bad. The cheeseake is the best though. They gave me a huge slice of cheesecake that was to die for.
tough brisket. I could not eat the brisket sandwich because I literally could not chew the sliced brisket on my sandwich. I had to get another sandwich & it was almost as bad
Luther's for Lunch!!. Cannot compete with real Texas BBQ!! ...Not bad for a quick lunch.
Luther's Cardboard. For those of you thinking about going to Luther's just go and find yourself a high quility piece of cardboard to munch on and you save a lot of money.
Should be farther down the list. Their meat is webby, fatty and bland and their sauce is like watered down KC Masterpiece. Their chicken has no flavor and their ribs have no meat on them. I have given them a chance once or twice a year for over a decade (my inlaws would get food from there because it was nearby) and they have never impressed me once.
Luthers Suck.
I do not like any part of there BBQ!
For me their sauce is very bad. I will never eat there again. Could not eat any of what I bought.
Chicken, Ribs, Beef.
The Unforgotten Moment. i remember when i was in 5th grade seeing the building and being intrested. one night i had done some great deed, who knows what, and my mother was going to treat me to any restraunt. i am a big fan of IHOP; the idea of breakfast all day was so ingenious, not even i thought of it, but i didnt pick it. Luther's popped into my head. my first year in houston stunted my knowledge of the town. my aunt and cousins guided me through good stores, schools, and restraunts, but never told me about Luther's. so, i explored myself. though this was four years ago, i still remember the salad bar, the beautiful done ribs, tangy lemonade and comfy atmosphere. since that night, my mother knows where to treat me... when i havent mentioned IHOP.
