Citysearch Editorial Review.
Hidden in the corner of a Bellaire shopping center, this all-day dim sum spot offers an alternative to the more combative experience of the ultra-large venues. Since the room only holds about a dozen tables, Dim Sum King dispensed with the usual push carts and opted for a picture menu. That means that the food is served hot, diners don’t need to crane their necks waiting for a server and amateurs can easily select the dishes by sight rather than try to understand the sometimes confusing names (Turtle Shell Jello, anyone?). While the wrapper of the ha cao could be a bit thinner and the ingredients in the well-charred turnip cake could be more copious, most of the items are very well-executed and the service is both friendly and efficient.
