Tips for Jack's Carpet

March 15, 2013

I had carpet installed in my town house on Sat. 03/9/2013. The salesman was very helpful, even though we change the installation date he was able to get it done.

The installation crew were very good. They move the furniture and worked all day. They we very professional and cleaned up after the work was finished. I would be happy to recommend Jacks Carpet to my friends.

I'm a remodeler and have used Jack's carpet for a number of projects, and Jack's prices are competitive with larger chains. The service is what sets jack's carpet apart.

They care enough to ensure that you are satisfied with each step of the process: from the intiial sale, all the way through the installation

I know from my line of work that usually the only time we get feedback is when someone wants to complain. So, I just wanted to let everyone know how pleased we are with our tile and the whole experience with Jacks Carpet. They were very helpful when we first came into the store and even managed to come to our house and give us an estimate the same day. We were able to schedule our installation for the following weekend. The installation crew was very polite and knowledgeable. They worked hard and steady. Our tile was completed within 2 days and looks beautiful. We will definitely use Jacks Carpet for any future flooring needs and will recommend these guys to all our friends and family.

Super installation time. Quick and easy install. We knew what we wanted so when we went they helped us find it easily. About a week and a half later they were there completely on time installing the new tile in my kitchen. Great service! Thanks a bunch!

Jack's Carpets has horrible service. I went to the Jack's Carpets in Copperfield for flooring. I am having new furniture delivered on Monday and wanted the flooring installed before then. I bought and paid for flooring on the promise that it would be installed Friday July 22, 2011. I scheduled a vacation day off from work around their promise.

On Thursday, July 21, at aproximately 3:56 PM I got a confirmation phone call stating that they would be there in the morning. 9 AM Friday July 22 I get a phone call from a guy named Norman who says that they only have one crew who knows how to do the type of flooring I bought. He said that they had a "bigger" job in Conroe that the were going to do and my job would "just" have to wait until Monday. When I voiced my complaint he said that the installation department didnt get the install order until the day of the install and so they had no way of knowing they had two jobs like this. I said that wasn't a good way to do things and he said "I know it's a bad system but its the way we do things".?????? At this point I was very upset. I went to the store to get a refund and they tell me that refunds have to be done "offsite". I got the number to Kurt who was supposed to be able to help me with my refund. He only made me more angry.

I lost a week's time of trying to find a good contractor to have this install done based on their promise. I lost $600 worth of vacation time around thier promise. The really bad thing was, when I got out of their store, I went one block away, got a very similar style and quality product for less than half of what they charged me and done THE SAME DAY which they couldnt do and told me no one could.

Great Service. My recent purchase at Jack's Carpet was pleasant from the time I opened the door. I was greeted by a friendly salesman that was so helpful. After I made my selection he came to my home with the samples for color selection and took measurements.

Salesman phoned me afterwards to let me know the carpet was in stock. He mailed me a copy of the credit card receipt. All in all I felt that he performed his job in a professional and friendly manner.

When the installer arrived to do the installation I was very impressed. The man is a dynamo. He did the work of 2 men. I have never seen anyone work as hard as he did.

He completed the installation in good time and even vacuumed leaving everything in good order. the salesman followed up the next day to ensure of my satisfaction with my new carpet. I told him I liked it so much that I will have another order for him shortly.

It is a pleasure doing business with a company that makes you feel like your purchase is very important and wants your complete satisfaction.

Bait and switch?. We will never be able to prove it, but we are sure they substituted the lesser quality carpet after we paid for the more expensive version. We see every spot, the number of loops per inch is not very high, and there are little bits and strands pulled out everywhere. I agree with the other reviewer, the salesman was nice, but our carpet is definitely inferior. We will not be going back, ever.

Don't be fooled by a great window display. We're usually very careful about checking out recommendations before choosing a service, but this time we were under a deadline and just walked into the store because it was close to my job. The salesman was a really fun fellow. We liked him immediately. It's a shame he is not selling for a company with a better product and reputation. We bought linoleum, stain-resistant carpeting for high traffic (stairs), and wood flooring.

The wood flooring went in with no problem and we are satisfied with it.

The linoleum and carpeting were installed by men who lied to us, wasted our time, and left a mess. Not even a week passed before the carpeting started to buckle and pull away from the stairs. When we complained, suddenly everyone connected to installation and follow-up pointed a finger to someone else. Getting the carpeting reinstalled properly took many calls to different people, including an area manager of some sort, who made promises he didn't keep without constant prodding. Phone calls were never returned and messages were usually not passed on. We didn't give up and finally they installed the carpeting on the stairwell like it should have been installed the first time.

We didn't even try to have them fix the door transition that didn't fit. One of the the installers argued with us for an hour about how it'd be a waste of time to even attempt it, and given the runaround we had dealt with up to that point, we believed him.

The carpeting and linoleum are now about two months old. The first time we moved the fridge, the linoleum tore. The stairs' replacement carpeting has fibers pulled out that are dangling down. It shows every little smudge which vacuuming doesn't help.

Go someplace else for flooring even if it costs more.
