In Short – Owner and chef Seco Moran revisits favorites from his once popular Jalapeño's Restaurant (it closed in early 2006) like spinach enchiladas and a belt-busting Sunday brunch. Inside the cozy brick-covered cottage, the décor is endearingly hodge podge which suits the devoted clientele just fine. The menu contains a sampling of flavors from across Latin America (a nod to Moran's Salvadoran roots) like tacos, enchiladas and tamales in addition to garlicky sautéed fish, steak, shrimp and chicken dishes. –
Fantastic brunch

Their 10:30 Sunday brunch buffet is fantastic. I skipped the omelet station and fajitas and went straight to the good stuff. The shrimp soup was AMAZING. It had the right balance of tang, sweet, and savory, plus the most excellent corn and fresh shrimp. I have dreams about this soup.
Not to say everything else was awesome. The tamales are big, and stuffed with succulent fall-apart pork. The migas were unique, with yucca and garlic mixed in. Tres leches was solid, and so was the flan. The real star of dessert was the bread pudding, with chocolate and nuts with that decadent cream sauce.
Service was head and shoulders above normal buffet type service. They had servers behind the buffet to answer questions about the food, and if you're up at the buffet, they will walk up and ask you if it is OK to clear the table. They were all very warm and friendly. Great touch.
Long story short, I dream about returning, and I put the soup up on my Mount Rushmore of soups, alongside Tan Tan's Pork BBQ, and Shade's cream of mushroom.
- Pros: The soup, the service, well... everything really
- Cons: Tight squeeze? I'm grasping for straws here.

This is a cute little restaurant, that you probably wouldn't see if you didn't already know it was there. They have very friendly staff, and the owner is usually there and will come greet you and ensure that your food is tasty. It's a great family amostophere, as well as a quaint and quiet hangout. They have excellent corn enchilladas and great desserts!
- Pros: Reasonably priced, good food. Great atmostophere.
- Cons: Limited parking.

I read about this place in the paper, and had to try it after finding out that owner Seco was the former chef at Jalapenos on Kirby.
The Corn Enchiladas are just like I remembered, and the hand rolled tamales are to die for!!
I would recommend doing the Sunday brunch, but get there early as word is spreading that Seco is back and the place is filling up!!
- Pros: Awesome Corn Enchiladas,Great Staff!!
