“First of all we paid 45 dollars for entry thinking we will have big B*** of our money.”
A good place to party. This is a very nice lounge to party at, it has a positive vibe and the DJ makes u want to get up and dance the promoters are very pretty and nice so if you ever want to throw ur party there that will be the spot to be at.
It was sweet, but turned sour very quick.... Me and a couple friends were on our way to Bond... as we started to pass Swivel two attractive ladies wearing practically nothing called us over to the lounge enterance, they told us to forget Bond and give the Swivel Lounge a chance... so we did. The atmosphere was very cool and contemporary, I couldn't tell what their normal crowd was, because they were practically pulling people off the street and letting them in with no door cover (which is cool, but irritating when loser a** people invade your space and you can plain out tell their broke a**es would have went somewhere else, if there was a door cover). It wasn't packed, nor was it empty either. The music wasn't that great, but atleast you could force yourself to dance to it... if needed. The drinks tasted watered down and the biggest upset was my bar tab... it was nearly $100 and that is bullsh*t, when you only ordered seven drinks. My buddy also had an extremely high bar tab, he ordered a good eight drinks and was charged close to $100. You may think thats not bad, but thats not even including tips. I can deal with a place being overly crowded, or paying for a door cover... but DO NOT OVER CHARGE PEOPLE ON THEIR DRINKS!! I've already read other comments that shows, I'm not the only one, to have this happen too. I wish we would have went to Bond instead and from now on, I'll never open a tab again. I do not recommend this place to anyone, because of our bad bar experience.
worst DJ. Doesn't know any good music numbers and how to mix. This club turned out to be the worst ever club I have every been. First of all we paid 45 dollars for entry thinking we will have big B*** of our money. We went there for new year eve yesterday hoping, as per their advertisement, that we will have great Indian, hip hop, and salsa music but DJ was so F***ED up that he won't play any good numbers. Despite multiple requests he didn't play more than 10 good songs in whole night. He kept on mixing some b******* music in every song and kept shouting on mic. It sucked big time. would never go there again.
Great service cool people. I had my Bday party at Swivel last weekend and had a great time. They gave me a great price on bottles a cool table and everyone was really chill. It was busy but not to the point that you couldnt move. The dj rocked. Drinks were normal price for the area and just as strong as anyplace else. Only bad thing was the restrooms but i wasnt in there much, so who cares.... Ill be back
great time!. ok so I have a tendency to post reviews a lot...mostly on bad customer service or cruddy products. Since the rule is if you have a good experience you tell only 3 people and if you have a bad experience you tell 9, I have decided to take an oath to let others know not only the bad but the good as well. This brings me to my experience at Swivel Cafe and Lounge. My girls and I went out on a Saturday night to the "midtown" area all dressed up and ready to have some fun. We did a little bar hopping and found the night, so far, to be a total drag. We then saw the red lights coming from across the street and decided to go check it out. We walked into this place called "Swivel" and Wow-the difference in decor was so obvious compared to the other clubs we had gone to. I don't know about you but I am a stickler for design and can recognize good when I see it. Then I noticed the music. A DJ by the name of "baby J" (I only know cause my girlfriend thought he was cute and wanted me to ask him his name) was playing all the right music because EVERYONE was dancing. The ambiance was great...especially since we were so bummed about the other places we had stopped by earlier...The place was packed and it was hard to make it to the bar. Once we finally arrived, we did have to wait for a bit to get a drink (but I guess that's the sacrifice we make when we are at a hot club right?) :) We were finally greeted by a very upbeat bartender that apparently had a really heavy hand since our drinks were mainly liquor (no complaint here!). To top it off-we quickly told the bartender how our night had sucked so far and she proceeded to make all of us a free shot to lift our spirits!!! The only thing negative I will say is that the bathroom didn't have any soap in the dispensers and the bathroom floor was a mess...those dirty girls!!!
The DJ rocked it out this past Saturday!!!. I?ll start by saying that I go out nearly every night of the week and have been doing so for over 10 years! I?ve hosted a few Happy Hours and also a Birthday Party at Swivel and have never had any problems. Everyone there was very friendly and accommodating. It may not be a big place but it had a great crowd and no matter what night you?re their, the music is good. I read some of the reviews below and I?m sure these people only take the time to write a review to complain but never take the time to express when they have had a good experience. Don?t let the negativity fool you, as I mentioned, I?ve partied there many times and always had a good time.
What the Hell are people talking about???. This is a great club. Who the Hell are these people?? Probably workers from other clubs. The was a great place. I LOVE the ratio (man to woman ) best I have seen in a long time. I like how they don?t let people smoke THANK YOU! It is small but not that bad. Dinks are not cheap but that?s every club. Nice atmosphere!! I?m coming back. F**K FIX!!
Boring, Small. I went to Swivel 2 weeks ago, only because my friends were meeting up people there. I would never go back there. We arrived at 12:00 and left immediately since it was so lame. We didn't have any trouble getting in or getting bar service but the place is small and the atmosphere wasn't that great. There was no eye candy (guys or girls) to be seen anywhere.
Overcrowded - Fire hazard. A group of friends and I went to Swivel this past weekend. The club was overcapacity. There is only one bar, so there is a lot of traffic just trying to get to the bar for a drink. Due to the overcapacity, there was no room to dance. Basically you just had to stand in one spot in the corner if you did not want to get pushed around by the crowd.
Please use "CASH". I had a horrible experience with this club. I took a friend out for drinks for his birthday on a Tuesday and I put up a tab. I cashed out without knowing that they gave me the wrong card back the next day. Luckily, I had the other person's card and he had mine. They charged 200.00 on my card and 36.00 on his card. The other person gave me part of my money back, but still today he owes me 40.00. WIth that said, please use cash because they don't pay attention to names. Never go back again.
