Dominique, I can’t tell you how much we appreciated your kindness in allowing the YaYa Sisterhood to celebrate their first Valentine’s dinner at your new quaint location. The food was superb, and the hospitality fabulous. We’ll be back soon!

good food

I just had a catered lunch from Skol. The food was really good, and from what I hear pretty cheap for what we got. If you go, I doubt you will go hungry. The grilled chicken was well seasoned and moist. The rice was great, along with the bread and salad. I will definitely go check it out. We were also told they have open mic nights and music frequently.

Illegal activity and depolorable conditions

I visited this establishment recently and found illegal activity taking place. Alcohol was being sold and consumed after 2am which is illegal in the state of Texas. Upon approaching the door to the business there was a patron standing at the door that regurgitated right in front of the door. The doorman proceeded to get a bottle of Clorox and just pour it on top. Once inside someone had once again regurgitated on the floor which paper towels were placed over. One restroom did not have a working commode and the sinks in both restrooms were clogged and full of standing water. The bar matron proceeded to tell me the kitchen was open and fully operational. In addition the environment is unsafe as my vehicle was broken in and vandalized within eyesight of the front door of the establishment which resulted in theft of personal items leading to identity theft and erroneous credit card charges. Matter referred to HPD TABC and other city departments as the inside conditions were deplorable. HPD officer stated this was common at the establishment. I would recommend you not go there as the business is unsafe and officials should be shutting it down hopefully soon. We do not need these sorts of businesses in our city!
