What People Are Saying About Mosaic

In Short – Rather than an amalgam of styles as the name would suggest, this stylish lounge in downtown's Bayou Place has a distinctly modern aesthetic. Sleek furnishings (think West Elm) and a nightlife savvy clientele add an element of exclusivity, but it's the world class DJs that form the backbone of the club. Nightly headliners include touring acts and locally familiar names like DJ Alex C, DJ Josh Dupont and DJ Severin. Sunday evenings are for chilling on the outdoor deck. –
good if you're 21 and don't know anybetter

Considering that they pretty much play top 40 pop songs from adult contemporary stations this place sure is pretentious. The ONLY reason why this place gets busy is because it's in Bayou Place and bus loads of people who don't know any better are walking around, otherwise this place would be shut down after a month. Rocbar next door is a joke as well where they play the "classics" from 1994 with bands like Pearl Jam, and the Presidents of the United States mixed in from the EMO favorites of today. - don't get me wrong, I loved the bands from the 90's but it's just like turning on the radio on 94.5 and listening to the same stuff over and over and over. Plus this is a club.
So yeah...if you're 21 and have borrowed your mom's car (with your 12 year old sister's My Chemical Romance CD still in the car) for the weekend and want to get out of Katy and go to the big city and let 35 year old EMO guys get you drunk and take you home, maybe this place will appeal to you....otherwise if you're in your late 20's or early 30's, go a little further down in Mid-town and find some better places.
ps why did Rocbar take down their own review site? too much honesty from the reviews?
- Pros: Bayou place looks cool at night
- Cons: 21 year olds(possibly younger people too) running around
2 Clubs in one spot!

This place is beautiful! The decor was incredible (not just a dorm room knock off full of Ikea furniture like most bars). The patio overlooks downtown's theater district. The music was phenomenal! The DJ played inside but the sound resonates onto the patio. The best part, I was able to walk through and enjoy the pleasures of the connecting club (Rocbar) anytime I wanted! /The two places both had such different feels that there was no way I could get bored! I don't think I have EVER stayed at any Houston nightclub longer than 2 hours...until I found Mosaic!!! I stayed all night and went back the following week! With a super-friendly staff, and fairly average drink prices, I honestly cannot think of a single bad thing about this place.
BEAUTIFUL SPOT!

Being connected to ROCBAR, you get 2 bars in one location! The decor is beautiful & the music is wonderful! Thurs - Saturday, you get great DJs & awesome service (VIP Style of course!). Sunday is my favorite though... the DJ plays out on the balcony & the frozen bellinis will knock you on your butt! We go to Berry Hill on Montrose or La Strada first (gotsta get a little food in our system), then move over to Mosaic about 5pm... I may be a straight female, but I love my Gay boys!! We take over the dance floor & tear it up! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! If you haven't been here... doll yourself up & come see it, you don't want to miss out!
