First and Last Visit to Lupe Tortillas on 249. Friends invited me to Lupe Tortillas for lunch. Had rec'd several coupons in Cypress Community Newspaper but never went, nor did I have a coupon this day. Prior to 2pm on a Thursday and upon serving out meals, was informed they were out of RICE!! So for $17.99 I had a plate of Three Pepper Steak and a half a plate of refried beans. Waiter did sub with our choice of side. We were informed the tortilla were flour, which was great to us except our table of 3 were served ONE tortilla at Lupe TORTILLA's. The tortilla was very good. Our bar drinks were weak but when we switched to Margarita's, they were good. The 3 of us spent over $100 and NO, I will not return or recommend Lupe Tortilla's on Hwy 249. Our server was nice but he abandoned us and apparently gave us to another server without informing us. You would think on a (then) $90 tab, he would have mentioned and we could have closed out our ticket and tipped him. Much to my suprise he was taking tables in another section. That's no big deal, hopefully they can give him so training on how better handle leaving a table graciously. I guarantee you we would have paid at that time and tipped him well.
STAY AWAY FROM GRAND PARKWAY LUPE TORTILLA.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Thats what i will be telling everyone i know & will be posting on every web site i can find. Got there at 6:42 (got a phone call from my daughter at that time) & left at about 8:10 without getting our food. Instead got a lot of excuses, had to wait for a refill on the long awaited soft drinks...more excuses. When I asked for the manager our waiter grabbed the first guy next to him . Called after I left (to go get my grandson some food), asked for Stan whom I was told is the "manager" got Jesus instead, who put me on terminal hold, then got Toby(if thats his real name) who said he was a managing partner or something. When I asked for Stan the manager he said I needed to go to the website. When I said I wanted to actually speak to him , his response was a rude "thats the only way your gonna get a hold of him, man" Looks like theres already similar posts on Yelp, but I'm just getting started, lets see what else there is, but there will be more that's for sure.
Great place to take the small children.
Great all around.
We usually sit outside on the patio & drink margaritas while the kids play in the sandbox.
The Best Mexican food EVER!!!. The beef and shrimp fajitas are to die for and this is the best Mexican food ever... The service was excellent and fast compared to other Mexican restaurants... I would recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone that is wanting great quality food... It is a great place for the entire family...
BEST fajita's anywhere.
The beef and chicken fajita meat is the best I've found in Houston.
It's so tender and flavorful - unbelievable!
It's very casual so it's a great place to come with the kiddos.
It can get loud though!
Family-friendly and Tex-Mex skilled, this outpost satisfies the craving for home-style fare in a cheerfully painted casa.
Expect a colorful and inviting atmosphere at this local Tex-Mex chain. From stacked-high chalupas to grilled chicken soft tacos or sizzling beef fajitas, the grub's worth gearing up for. Plates like chicken-stuffed poblano or fajita steak Lupe are big, cheesy deals. Calorie counters can order tacos al carbon, grande ensalada verde or no-meat tacos. Important details such as creamy handmade guacamole, spicy jalapeno nachos and non-oily tortilla chips with smoky tomato salsa are done right.
