Lonnie is up for the challenge. I was looking for a new stylist because the last guy just wasn't "getting it". I saw a chick in a restaurant with a great cut and highlights and I found out about Lonnie. I felt a bit intimidated because her space is right in the middle of River Oaks, but the place has a relaxed vibe, sunny and eclectic. Her private room is cozy and comfortable. We talked about my haircolor first, and Lonnie agreed that it needed a change, and she explained to me how she would do it. Then we talked about the cut (I've never been happy with my haircut so I thought it was pointless) but Lonnie explained to me that even though I have fine hair it still needs texturizing-not much-but just enough to blend layers and give me a better style. So she got to work and it came out just like she described. We're working toward growing out my bangs and she blended them to the rest of my hair so they don't look like I'm growing them out, and she wove another color into my highlights that will make them look more natural. I'd also like to mention that the shampoo and conditioner she had the shampoo lady use was Kenra. I'd never heard of it before, but it made my hair silky and shiny without weighing it down. I got a bottle of each to go along with the gel she used on me. I was very impressed with her professionalism and I recommend her without reservation.
