This two story pub features a wooden bar, fixtures and furnishings sent from the namesake Goose's Acre in County Cork, Ireland, direct to The Woodlands, and the result is an authentic atmosphere that encourages lingering over a properly poured pint of Guinness. I always enjoy this bar. Great place to visit after getting dinner somewhere else (food isn't that great). The only bar in Houston that has Ireland's Smithwick's ale on tap! The only real drawback, for me, is that the live music is just kind of crammed in the middle of the restaurant and you can't carry on a conversation while the music is playing. But excellent experience if you are there when the bands aren't - or if you like to sit outside next to the "riverwalk".

I liked how the place was setup. Two floors, next to the river. Beautiful. The staff was a bit slow, the food was nasty! the chicken tenders was bad and the fries were way too salty!

The food was good, the place was easy to get to and validated parking...Our waitress was pleasant and very happy to see that our needs were always met. The live band was a plus too!!!
