Mixed Review -Been here a lot. We go here a lot for half-priced burgers on Wednesdays for lunch. Everything's OK, but the service is habitually slow. It's a neat place as far as decor, but we went there tonight for dinner and left wishing we had eaten somewhere else.

First, we went downstairs but there was a guitar player down there and our table was real close to his speakers. There's no way we would have been able to talk so we went back to a booth upstairs. Then the music (and we are all music lovers --one of us even a professional) but the music they were playing was just loud, distorted, rock and roll. Not even classic rock or anything, just distorted background noise and very annoying. So, everyone in the place had to significantly raise their voices to have a conversation and it just made it worse. We moved again to a different table and it was tolerable but that's as far as I'll go. (What ever happened to Irish music in an Irish pub?) To top it all off I had a $12.95 coupon which was not subtracted from our bill. I would have missed it if I hadn't looked over our bill. We were seriously ready to get out of there and I had to call the waiter back to have my credit card credited.

I'd say The Goose is OK, but I'd stick to the half priced lunch specials and make sure you're not in a hurry when you go there.

Great place to hang out with friends!. I always enjoy this bar. Great place to visit after getting dinner somewhere else (food isn't that great). The only bar in Houston that has Ireland's Smithwick's ale on tap! The only real drawback, for me, is that the live music is just kind of crammed in the middle of the restaurant and you can't carry on a conversation while the music is playing. But excellent experience if you are there when the bands aren't - or if you like to sit outside next to the "riverwalk".

Didnt like it much. I liked how the place was setup. Two floors, next to the river. Beautiful. The staff was a bit slow, the food was nasty! the chicken tenders was bad and the fries were way too salty!

We had a birthday get together on a Friday night and had the best time and the best service.... The food was good, the place was easy to get to and validated parking...Our waitress was pleasant and very happy to see that our needs were always met. The live band was a plus too!!!

A great Irish Pub in the heart of the Woodlands. This place rocks. The owners of Brian O'Neill's in Rice Village have done an awesome job in opening a sister property. The food is superb, drinks plentiful, and the service is top notch. My experience there was nothing short of outstanding.

Brian O'Neill's-owned Irish pub and family-friendly eatery located on the Woodlands' picturesque waterway.. In Short
This two story pub features a wooden bar, fixtures and furnishings sent from the namesake Goose's Acre in County Cork, Ireland, direct to The Woodlands, and the result is an authentic atmosphere that encourages lingering over a properly poured pint of Guinness. The open kitchen turns out pub mainstays like fish and chips and shepherd's pie plus loaded salads, half-pound burgers, steaks, rotisserie chicken and Neapolitan-style brick oven pizzas. Goose's features regular live music and Irish-themed events.
