Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain..
In Short
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.

This Sonic franchise has poor quality food...
I live right by this Sonic franchise, and I have visited it several times holding faith that my next experience with them will be a good one. I am continually disappointed.
This franchise cuts corners on food quality. The bacon is never crisp, and sometimes very soggy and chewy. I realize the bacon arrives precooked in packages, but they must grill it to achieve crispness, and this appears to be a step that is skipped.
Twice I've received a burger with a bun that wasn't toasted, or even warm. The fries have been old and soggy on perhaps 40% of my orders.
The kicker was my order last night, which will be my last. I simply ordered a Chili-cheese wrap which consists of chili, cheese, and Fritos wrapped in a tortilla. It's a great item that I've ordered many times from other Sonic franchises. What I actually received was a very small handful, perhaps 10-15 Fritos mixed with a minimal amount of chili and cheese. Being that it comes in a large burrito, it had to be folded so much that it became a square shape, and about 5 inches long. There were about 30 napkins stuffed under the product to increase bag weight, how nice...
Sonic as a whole is a good, affordable franchise to eat at. However this location has chosen to sacrifice food quality and quantity for maximized profits. There is a competitor directly across the street, please give them a visit instead of this fast food failure...
