Citysearch Editorial Review.
John and Dee Dillman's indie bookstore stock spills over into a smaller, more centralized location (though still in their hometown Heights) that fully preserves the Kaboom standard of bookworm quality. Hunt down vintage paperbacks or out-of-print titles in minutes among well-organized hand-made shelves in genres comprising fiction, cultural histories, social and hard sciences, art, music, sci-fi and more. Trade in your old books for a fair price that you may well spend before leaving if you heed the staff's sound recommendations for replacements.

Rare books, exceptional service in the Heights.
I never know what I'll discover at Kaboom but I always find rare, quality books here! The owners operated a thriving bookstore in the French Quarter, New Orleans and relocated to the Heights. They're in the same building as Oolala gifts and I always discover a treasure of a book here at such a reasonable price. She calls me when books of my favorite genre come in and I'm so happy to have them in our neighborhood!
