I've been going to Shine for a few years now and I've seen Cherryl and Wyatt and had a blowout from Jamie. All three were wonderful and very conscientious and knowledgable. Cherryl is the owner and has always made me feel so welcome and the salon environment is so casual and fun. Wyatt did my color the last time and I don't think I've ever had a better color service. I went in blonde and asked for a change and he suggested red and it came out fantastic (there's a mix of balayage and traditional highlighting in there and it's so natural.) It's a perfect tone for my skin and he took a lot of time to make sure I would be able to grow it out the way I liked it and not have to worry about going back every 6 weeks (hard to do on my student's budget).

I've also thrown "girls day" parties there and my group can't wait to get back and have another party at Shine.

Very wonderful all around Salon and the family vibe is fantastic.

Hi Jackie I am Wyatt and would like to apologize for the hair cut. I hope you don't take my wrong doing out on the other stylist in the salon. I truly wished you would have called me to let me know your feelings about your cut. I will personally like to give you a refund and pay for your extensions. We have a great stylist here name Amy that would be a great to install them. Please please contact me or our owner Cherryl at the salon so that we can work this out. Once again I am truly sorry and would love the chance to make it up to you. Please contact us when you can.

NEVER AGAIN. I brought in 3 pictures, asking for the "long bob" like Jennifer Aniston. Wanted shoulder length in the back, a bit longer in the front. The 3 pictures clearly showed this. Stylist Wyatt instead cut my hair 1/2 inch short in the back, with the front staying very long. This in no way looks anything like the shoulder length cut for which I asked. When I questioned him on it, he said it must have been a communication problem (which I don't understand because I had 3 pictures) but this was his "vision." I appreciate that he gave me a discount on his "vision," but unfortunately taking $20 dollars off does not give me back the 7 inches he cut off the back of my hair. I have showed the pictures to several people and they cannot understand how he cut my hair the way he did. I am now looking for recommendations on hair extensions so I can somehow repair the damage he did. Everyone says it looks awful and overall a terrible cut. I wish Wyatt would have shared his "vision" with me before destroying hair that takes very long to grow back. I cannot commet on other stylists in this salon, but I can say that I will never again use someone like Wyatt who ignores client's requests and instead chops, chops, chops for his own "vision." I am the one who has to now live with 1/2 inch long hair.

If you're looking for great lashes, go see Lauren!. I was in an upcoming wedding and was looking for something to brighten my look. I came across LashesbyLauren, and decided to get eyelash extensions. I had never had extensions before, so I was a little nervous at first. But, Lauren was very patient, took her time & walked me through the process. I received lots of compliments & felt beautiful!! The best part was it looked so natural & what a treat not to have to worry about curling my lashes every morning. I didn't even need to apply makeup...

GINA is the BEST ever!!. have gone to Gina Sardis for so many years I can not even count. I LOVE HER and HER cuts are the only ones that LOOKS GREAT for 8 weeks +

She is super fast and can cut & blow dry your hair so that you can do the same it at home with out all those flat irons and styling products!

She is very, very dependable, always on time and will get you in to fit your schedule, always willing to make her time make you feel valuable!

Shine and Sharon are great!. I was casually looking for a new salon when I came across a Houston Tidbit coupon. On impulse, I made an appointment without reading any reviews or doing any research. A gamble - but I won!

I have been going to Shine for months now and I always use Sharon Dewitt. My color is the prettiest and most natural its looked since before my first encounter with hair dye in high school. She's also been really helpful as I try and grow my hair out for my wedding. I hate having longer hair and have always worn it a little past my chin with layers, but Sharon has cut it in a way that's easy to manage. Sharon's the best - and I won't trust anyone but her to do my hair on the wedding day.

The salon itself is so cute and inviting. On Saturdays, they have fresh cookies. All in all - a great salon!

I'm a fan of Shine!. It is always a pleasure going to Shine. Sharon DeWitt has been doing my hair for about a year now & I have always been happy with how I look & feel afterwards. In fact, she took me from blonde to red this last time - which could have been scary! - but it turned out great & I couldn't be happier. I'd definitely suggest checking this place out!

Love this salon!!!. First of all, I was referred to this salon by a friend who has gone there for a while. I was referred to one stylest, but ended up getting Sharon DeWitt because the other girl wasn't available. I am SO thankful it worked out that way! I absolutely love Sharon and what she's done for my hair.

I decided to lighten my hair earlier this year and she gradually eased me into the highlights. By the summer, it was the perfect amount of sunkissed looking hair. I asked her for very natural looking highlights that blended really well and that's exactly what I got.

I have never had so many compliments on my hair as I have since I've been going to Sharon. I have referred a few other friends to her as well who also love her. My roommate had some major color issues with her blonde hair and Sharon was able to correct it easily.

Shine in the Heights is the cutest place ever. If you're looking for a new "do," defintely try it out!

Great everything!. What a fabulous salon! Quaint and cute.

Front desk is nice and professional.

The owner Cheryl is the sweetest!

I have been going to Shine now for the past year since I moved down the street.

I have always had a great experience with my haircuts.

I recently went in and got a Brazilian Blow out!

OH MY GOSH!

AMMMM-AZING!

Ivania did the Brazilian Blow out on me and what can I say but am so GLAD that I did it and that she suggested to me.

My hair is thick, the Blowout has made my hair so much more manageable, less blow dry time, less using of my straight iron.

It used to take me about 30 minutes to blow dry, style and it has cut the time in half.

And with this Houston humidity, it is answer for all women who want NO FRIZZ! Leaves your hair silky and shiny. I have received so many complements and people touching my hair in disbelief.

I suggest you do it and call and ask for Ivania.

This salon has some TALENT!

The best cut, color and style in Houston. I can't say enough wonderful things about Shine In The Heights. It is the kind of fun and fashionable place I love going to every 7 weeks. Cherryl has been my stylist for 8 years. I've always leave feeling like a million bucks. She's on top of all the current techniques for coloring and caring for hair. She really listens to all my requests and concerns. She's the real deal. A total pro.

Everyone who works at this fun and trendy house tucked in the Heights is committed to making your experience a wonderful one. Love it!
