Excellent Food! Outstanding Service!. Flaming Wok is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Houston area! My partner and I eat there quite often and we have NEVER been disappointed!

One of our favorite menu items is the Sizzling Rice Soup...the rice actually sizzles and pops when it is served! It's fantastic! Other favorites include the Mu Shu Pork and the Chow Mein with Tofu! Portions are always huge!

The service at Flaming Wok is great! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and there's never a long wait for your order! It's also very apparent that the staff cares about keeping their establishment clean, as the tables are cleared promptly.

Overall, Flaming Wok is a good choice if you're looking for good Chinese fast food at a reasonable price.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had!. My mom and I went here because there isn't a lot of good Chinese food in the area. We won't be going back. The food was just terrible. I ordered the lemon chicken and she got the sweet and sour chicken. Both of our plates were exactly the same except that her plate had red goo covering the chicken and mine had yellow goo. The meat had no flavor whatsoever and the rice was also very bland.

I just couldn't believe my eyes as I watched everyone else there eat it like it was the best food they've ever had. I am extremely picky about wasting food and always take leftovers, but I just left my plate there. I was starving when I got there, but barely touched my food. I wanted to ask for my money back, but just left. Never again.

Best Chinese in town!. I've been eating at restaurants owned by this family for many years now (they also own Shan Hu in the Hobby Airport area). I am probably the pickiest Chinese eater you'll ever meet. Very few chinese places impress me. Flaming Wok and Shan Hu are absolutely the best, hands down.

Some suggestions :

Shrimp with Garlic Sauce - For those who like it a little spicy. If you want it even spicier, just tell them and they'll make it for you.

Peking Shrimp - My wife's favorite. Hard to describe, but wonderful.

Bean Curd with Black Mushrooms - Great option for vegetarians. Delicious. I alternate between this and the Shrimp with Garlic sauce. Still trying to figure out which is my favorite. I think if I continue research over the next 30 years or so, maybe I'll figure it out.

This place is located on Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena. It is worth the drive...regardless of where you live!
