“greeted us on the way in and out, and did come by to check on us as well which was nice (but again, we weren't in the mood to complain), and the atmosphere was very good.”
“My snapper was tastless, the green beans were horrible, tasteless with a bad texture an actually had a brown tint, and while the dirty rice was ok it was nothing special.”
“Great service, poor food”
Good Food, worth the drive.. Great food. My wife and I drive the eighty plus miles from our home to eat there for special occassions. Great food, great personalized service.
good location. sunday noon. first time at the establishment. service lacking big time. the waiter all but disappeared. my husband took me for my birthday and although the food was good the waiter seemed totally overwhelmed. can not say we will return.
Great service, poor food.
I went to the restaurant with a date, and unfortunately ended up looking bad for my choice. The food was just not good. I started with a tomato-basil soup that I liked, but my date didn't like her gumbo. The real problem was the main course. My snapper was tastless, the green beans were horrible, tasteless with a bad texture an actually had a brown tint, and while the dirty rice was ok it was nothing special. My date found her meal to be tasteless also. We ended up just paying, leaving full plates, and went elsewhere for dinner (we weren't in the mood to complain).
I will say that our waiter was very attentive, the manager (or owner?) greeted us on the way in and out, and did come by to check on us as well which was nice (but again, we weren't in the mood to complain), and the atmosphere was very good.
