SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE

by Lisa1981 at Citysearch

I agree with other reviewers, they care about their money first customer last. It is family owned/operated, so if they don't feel like working (and choose to close during advertised open business hours) and if they poorly cook your pizza and feel like being rude to you or feel like keeping your money with no effort to help you or fix it, they will.

Listen to what happened to us. I ordered a pizza from the Scarsdale location. The meat or the pizza was bad or something because it started to make us sick (nauseous, and a few other details I won't get into). so we decided to call back and tell them what happened (Thursday 02/06/09 around 6 pm). The guy on the phone (like he had a bad day or something) starts going off on me. He tells me it takes eight hours to digest the pizza, that it didn't make me sick and that if I really felt like it did to call the he alth dept, and that if I called a second time he would consider it harassment and call the police (huh?!) I asked him what his name was and he wouldn't give it to me, and then he hangs up on me!

I was astonished. First off anyone who has felt nauseous after a meal knows it doesn't take EIGHT HOURS to feel that way. Does sour milk or cheese take eight hours to make you feel sick? How long does it take to digest bread? I have never experienced something like that before and really believe that for every person who takes the time to write something like this, there are dozens more who remain silent and simply don't come back (This is the first time I have looked online and did not know others had experienced similar things like this before I ordered.)

I will take his advice about calling the he alth dept. I won't go there anymore and I will also tell everyone I know so they don't have to risk experiencing that.

Late, abusive, and incompetent

by Alsk20202 at Citysearch

I order from Sicily Pizza 3 times from work (there are not many delivery choices for pizza near my office).

1st time: I was told minimum delivery order was 10 dollars. They forgot the parmesan and red pepper I requested. Pizza was mediocre.

2nd time: Late pizza (so late in fact, that my lunch time was long over, and I received it just in time to close my office for the day). Again, they forgot to send parmesan and red pepper.

3rd time: The person taking my order by phone told me the minimum for a delivery is 15 dollars (instead of the 10 dollars I was told 2 weeks prior). He argued with me about it, and he called me a liar.

Don't bother with this place. The food is essentially tasteless, and the service is incompetent and rude.

Average pizza, below average service

by aaphilip at Citysearch

I drove there to order the pizza because my kids were starving and I didn't want to wait for delivery. I ordered a couple large gourmet pizzas and sat down to wait. While waiting, I read the menu, which had a couple coupons printed on it. Given what I ordered and how much I paid, I qualified for both coupons. The cashier told me that they were only good for delivery. I told him to go ahead and deliver the pizza plus the free items. He said the free stuff was only good for delivery and since I was there and had paid for the items, I was out of luck. I let him know that the coupons did not say they were good only for delivery and he was the one out of luck because he just lost a customer. I then went home to send an email complaining to the corporate office, but there isn't a corporate web site. Evidently those at the corporate office were the ones that trained the idiot at the counter because they seem to have a similar disregard for their customers.

  • Pros: average food
  • Cons: below average service
