FYI, this clinic is open and NEVER closed. Great people, reasonable fees. Have used for seven years for four pets.

Good place to take your pets.. If you are looking for a caring, experienced veterinarian, Dr. Mike Brady at Stafford Oaks is one of the best around. He has been treating my pets for over 20 years and I trust him completely. I would recommend Stafford Oaks to anyone who loves their pets and wants good care.

Best Animal Care. I have been taking my animals to stafford oaks since they were on Brand Ln. Been using Dr.Brady for several years and everytime i come in the staff is always polite and Dr.Brady has always taken such great care of my Fur Babies. He has been in the vet business for a very long time and i trust him with my own life. I would recommend Dr.Brady to anyone who loves their babies as much as i do.

Knowledgeable & Caring Staff. I have been using Stafford Oaks for the past seven years and feel they are the best in the area. I had taken my two Bichons to different vets in the area and they were overpriced and felt I was just a number. When I visited Stafford Oaks the first time I was met with a friendly front end staff. I filled out the necessary paperwork and they had my previous vets information within minutes. I met with Dr. Heather Puksta and was impressed with her friendliness toward me but mostly to my pets. After a few years of routine checkups and as the babies grew older it became more apparent of just how much she cares for all of her patients. When surgery was needed, she was there to greet us and kept us updated. If needed, she stayed late (way after normal business hours) so we could visit with her and our baby. If services were needed that Stafford Oaks did not provide (eye surgery, rehabilitation etc.) she did the research of the facilities before recommending to us. If I was scared of the what if's she was patient and caring. I now live about three hours away and still use Dr. Puksta and Stafford Oaks. I have yet to find a vet in the area I live in where I feel as safe and secure as I do with Dr. Puksta. I do not live in a rural area where I only have one or two vets to choose from, I live in a city where there are hundreds of vets. Dr. Puksta is now "fixing" an issue that a vet in my area failed to fix and fell secure in knowing that the services she recommended has already turned the situation around. I HIGHLY recommend Stafford Oaks. No, I am not an employee, a relative, a paid spokesperson..just a person who has a 15 & 17 year Bichon ( and me) that trust and love Dr. Puksta & the staff!!

They killed my cat. I tend to agree with "tightscience" about the staff writing these reviews. Dr. Brady did a simply spay on my cat. When we brought her home, she started to have bleeding and panting and drooling. We took her back immediately. The staff asked us to leave and that they would call us. An hour later we got the dreaded call that she died.

WHAT???? How could that happen? Answer: She must have had a 1 in a million reaction to the sedative. She must have been alergic.

When we picked her up for burial the next morning, they had crammed her in a box that she would not have fit in and froze her.

We were to heartbroken to even open the box, but if I had it to do all over again, I would have sent her to a lab for testing to find out what really happened.

It was apparent the staff was told not to say anything to us about the incident.

DO NOT USE THIS HOSPITAL UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR ANIMAL KILLED.

Great vet care for a good price!. Just started going to Stafford Oaks after a friend recommended Dr. Brady to me. I am a volunteer with Greater Houston GSD Rescue and so I have had quite a bit of experience working with different vets.

Bottom line is Stafford Oaks gives the good quality Vet care for an affordable price. They are not in it to get your money and truly care about the well being of your pet. Dr Brady has been a fantastic Vet to work with. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

Don't waste your time. I have been going to Stafford Oaks for about a year now. The facilities are a little run down and funny smelling, but the vets are nice enough once you get in to see them. However, I kind of suspect the staff are writing some of these 5 star reviews, because at its best it's just an OK place to take your pet.

My main complaint is the front desk staff.

First strike was when they lost my vaccination records. When I got my dog from the breader a year ago the breeder gave me her shot records and I turned them in to the staff at Stafford Oaks when she went in for the new dog check up. Three weeks ago I needed a copy to take my dog to the kennel, and they tell me they have no record of them. They said they were looking for them for 3 days, but long story short, I ended up having to pay to get my dog revaccinated for everything in order to get records to go to the kennel.

Second strike was when they refused to sell me the flea medicine my dog has been taking for a year. I don't ask much from a vet but I need to be able to reliably purchase Revolution flea and heartworm drops. I took off work early to drive over and purchase some this afternoon, and while the first guy says no problem and is getting them ready for me this other receptionist "Jan" sticks her nose in. "Wait just a minute" she says. Then she goes and looks at my records and says, no you have not had your dog in for a heartworm test in the last year we can't sell you a 6 months supply until you bring your dog in for the test. (It has been 14 months since her last test, she has been on heartworm prevention the entire time and she was just in 3 weeks ago for her re-vaccinations). I actually don't mind getting my dog tested, but I am a busy person and it is actually a huge time commitment for me to get home to the dog and back to the vet before they close. She told me it was really for my own good. Actually I think what would have been for my own good is if could have just gotten my dogs flea and heartworm meds instead taking off work early, driving all the way over here and wasting this beautiful afternoon. I just said fine and drove down the road to pets-mart and bought the over the counter drops. I'm a busy professional just trying to take care of my dog and I don't have time to deal with this place.

re: Quality Service!. I'd been having a difficult time finding a good vet for my cat. I came across Stafford Oaks online a few years ago and thought I'd give it a chance. The staff are friendly and great with my cat. I haven't had any difficulties. They don't pressure you or try to convince you to spend money, but they give you options to treat your animal. The clinic is clean and well maintained. Dr. Michael Moore is wonderful! I would recommend him to anyone who asks!

Dr. Brady and Stafford Oak are the BEST!. My fiance and I took our adopted lab puppy (5 months old) to Dr. Brady in early July for a second opinion after receiving a distemper diagnosis from a different vet in Pearland. We were told by the first vet that he was 75% sure she had distemper and to wait for the worst, and he had "never been wrong about his distemper assessments".

Dr. Brady did a thorough examination and used his experience to diagnose her with a much more hopeful ailment - a severe upper-respiratory infection. He confirmed what we felt that it was premature to assume she had distemper just because she had a horrible runny nose and cough for 3 weeks without any other distemper symptoms. He put her on a different antibiotic and within 3 DAYS her symptoms were completely gone.

Dr. Brady is very matter of fact and gives useful information because he is so knowledgeable and loves animals. We definitely appreciated that!

We can't say enough positive things about Dr. Brady and the Stafford Oaks practice. We gladly drive 20 minutes to get there and would drive further if we needed to!

The BEST veterinary clinic in the area!. I've been bringing my dogs to SOVH for close to 10 years. I live in the Heights in Houston but drive the 20 miles each and every time I need to take my dogs to the vet.

There simply is not a better vet in the state of Texas than Michael Moore. He truly does care about the animals he treats and often interrupts his family schedule to treat a dog.
