In Short – Candlelight gleams off of floor to ceiling wine bottles at this Woodlands-area wine bar and date spot. Wine label murals preside over diners snuggled into booths or seated at the bar. Standouts on the sharing menu include bibb salad with hearts of palm, steak pizza with mixed greens, blue crab dip and steamed mussels. A handful of themed cheese flights compliment the vast selection of wines, from the more than 300 bottles to the dozen-plus wine flights that change nightly. –
Romantic yet Fun!

I've been to Cru a few times. I like to sit outside on the patio for wine and cheese plates or appetizers. They are reasonable priced. The chocolate fondue is awesome! It comes with fruit, cake, ..more!
The only downfall is that the entrees are expensive considering the small portion. My Mom and I ordered the sea bass and got a fist-sized piece of fish served over some edamamme, for around $27 or so.... It literally only 2-3 bites each and the plate was empty. We'll be back, but not for the entrees. The wine flights are also a good deal. I think they start around $12 and are great selections.
- Pros: "Closeout" discounted wine list, atmosphere
- Cons: entrees are expensive
Great Atmosphere, Wine, Food, Music all in one!

I didn't know what to expect when my girlfriend wanted to go to Cru for wine and dinner. Usually, we would have to make three stops to get what we rec'd in one night at Cru. The wine selection was awesome! The food was awesome! The entertainer was extra awesome! This guy ( John R?) sings, plays sax, and piano. He serenaded us and the whole restaurant throughout the evening(it was a Thursday night). He made us feel at home at Cru. The staff was very professional. They made us feel at home also. Not your ordinary wine bar. Thanks. Very romantic!
- Pros: Not your ordinary wine bar!
- Cons: None
Drive 28 miles to eat here

Living in the city, I like to get away... to the Woodlands. Market Street has a quaint Main Street feel to it that I liked and we like going but didn't enjoy eating at Tommy Bahama. So one day we tried Cru. It has a nice patio area to dine at on those really nice Houston days where it's a crime to stay indoors and it's good for people watching. I don't drink so I can't really comment on the wine and selection but I come for the food. The portions are small but filling but the artistry of the food is divine. My first meal there I had beef tips sandwich. I forgot what sort of bread it was served in but I remember the sauce it was cooked in. It was amazing. My husband and I were tempted to order seconds. The second time we went, we had a bento box lunch with beef, couscous and fruit salad. Not a morsel of couscous was left it was so good. The flavors complimented each other and the fruit salad refreshing and delightful. The third time we went it was on a Sunday when they had brunch. My husband loved the steak and eggs - though he wished there were more steak and I enjoyed the crab cake eggs benedict. We go all the way up to the Woodlands for food but the atmosphere is what really makes it nice.
- Pros: Food, Ambience
- Cons: Parking, portions are small but still worth it
