I had my son's birthday party there and was very pleased with the staff. We only did the laser tag. They were very courteous and well organized.
Worst Time Ever!. Not customer service friendly! Only half the arcade games worked and the other half kept on taking our tokens. No ventalation whats so ever for the go karts and the laser tag. Food and drinks were rediculously priced and did not taste good. I saw three signs that read " No Refunds", it should have read "Be aware, we suck"!
Fast as hell. I live in Austin and Dang I wish we had this place there! I have never ridden a cart that went this fast. Seriously we had a BLAST my friends were acting like we were Ricky Bobby and co. lol. I would tell anyone it's perfect for a fun night outand a different spin!
best saturday night ever. was just in there on Saturday night place was awesome the karts were super fast and lasertag was a lot of fun the general manager even walked me around the track to show me the best racing line to take it was cool to have someone so knowledgeable to help you get better lasertag equipment is brand new and really cool i will definitely be back
fastest cars. we had the best racing experience, the cars are super fast and worth it
super fast cars. that's really all I can say, I would go back anytime for cars that go this fast, it's a serious thrill
Excellent go cart track.
This is the fastest track we have ever raced on! We originally went because it was so hot and it's an indoor track, but if we had known it was so fast...WOW
I had a great time and my family loved it also, I recommend going during the day before it gets too crowded because you will want to RACE :)
Definitely Satisfied. Ok I read a few of the reviews on here before we went and I have to admit I was a for sure worried. I don't know if we were just ridiculously lucky or if everyone else is being dramatic or just having bad luck. We went on a Saturday night and the manager there was Nick who happens to be the General Manager. I had a Daily Deal (not a group on but I guess it was similar) and expected some kind of hassle when I tried to use it based on the last persons review. There was no problem though. They took them signed us up for our races and lt games and we waited our turn (which was a little long for the racing. Make sure you call ahead to find out the wait!!). The go karts rocked though!! I guess Id be upset too if I couldn't race. My girlfriend decided to stop racing half way through her race (don't eat a big dinner first...) And they even offered us a free pass to come back another day. It does get hot. I never went into the party rooms but you will be sweating by the time you leave for sure. but they said they just remodeled the bathrooms which were clean and the go carts are evidently brand new so I was happy with everything. OH They kicked a guy out of our race cause he was going crazy and Im glad they did. I admit i got black flagged once and didn't understand it but they guy said i was hitting the walls to hard cause I was over steering. I understand them trying to be strict on the rules and I suppose when there's that many people there you just have to control what you can. All in all I had a blast. Im totally going back. Its awesome to have something like this in Houston PLUS the fact that its indoors is huge.
Horrible Managment, Zero Customer Service.
Yesterday a few friends and I visited Track 21 to take advantage of some Groupons that we had purchased.
Upon arrival at Track 21 we attempt to walk in the automatic door with the large arrow indicating the entrance. That door was locked, along with all but one main door. Not that big a deal right? However when thinking about fire code and trying to use the same doors to leave in case of an emergency the story changes. Imagine a group of twenty people trying to leave where one quarter of them get stuck at locked doors, thus forcing them to try and squeeze through one exit.
Quoting the Houston fire code:
" Sec. 8.007. Exit Doors
During the period of occupancy, no exit door shall be locked, bolted or otherwise fastened or obstructed by any means so that the door cannot be opened from the inside by use of the ordinary latch or knob or by pressure on the door or on a panic release device."
This is a clear violation.
To continue on with my story, we were notified that they would not accept the Groupon due to a corporate event. This would not normally be a problem, however yesterday was the last day the groupon was valid. There were at least tweleve other people, with more coming in the door later trying to use this same groupon.
The manager, Ian, who seemed to have no authority on anything in the establishment made a few nervous phone calls to this mysterious general manager who was unwilling to budge and provide any sort of customer service.
After a second phone call, some ten minutes after Ian recieved a tounge lashing from 12 angry customers he called again to which the general manager agreed to making all of us wait two hours, which was past closing time, to then do our fifteen minutes of race time.
In the time that we spent arguing, we could have done our race and been out the door happy customers. Instead they would not budge or provide any sort of refund or accomodation, aside from making us all sit around for two hours.
Stay away at all costs, it is not worth it. I have many more complaints regarding the rest of the staff and lack of customer service, but that is not worth my time to go into all the specific details.
Run by children with attitude problems.
Now granted, I probably shouldn't have taken the kids at 9 pm on Saturday, but just had a horrible experience there, and won't likely return. I should also say that I have been a regular patron for several years, and have had fun on the Karts, which are the best "fee karts" in town, and on a great track to boot, but Track 21 has really lost its way. Children are running the place. The oldest employee I saw couldn't have been a day over 17. Took forever to get checked in, as the cashier had disappeared, and when she reappeared, she seemed oblivious to the fact that I was standing there. Had a 11 or 12 year old "employee" bark some extremely rude comments to me as I was getting my two 8 year old boys ready for a laser tag game. We go laser tagging very regularly, but had never been at this location. We've always just stuck with the karts. Wish that we had. LT arena was filled with roughhousing teenagers, and my kids were being pushed and shoved the whole time. "Management" was nowhere to be found to put an end to this, and I am not about to get into a confrontation with a pack of miscreant juveniles in front of my boys. By the time we got out, the oldest one was in tears, and bordeline traumatized, and so we had to leave, as I wasn't about to put him behind the wheel of a kart in that state, adn the evening was pretty much ruined. Also, not that it mattered, but my laser tag gear was malfunctioning the entire time. The cashier was apologetic when I told her what had happened, ad assured me that there would be a conversation with the employee. She refunded the unused kart passes I had bought at $15 per ride for the kids, but still charged me for the laser tag...which is fine. I consider it a parting gift to them.
Overall, great karts...best in town by far...but a clientele and staff that are so bad, that I won't return to see if they improve.
