Decent lunch spot
by leexjd
Basically this is a greasy hamburger place. I went with two coworkers, had a chicken sandwich and fries, and it was good. The burgers were also good, according to coworkers. It's nothing spectacular, just a decent place to sit down for lunch and have a non fast food burger. Pretty good prices.
A GOOD MISTAKE

I stumbled on to this place by mistake, I was looking for the original Charlie's over near highway 6 and I-10, which they apparently closed that store, a little hesitant to try another burger place I went in anyway, well to my surprise was a pretty cool little joint, they have changed it from the original charlies and given it a nostalgic garage feel, they are definatley not like the chain places, you order at the counter and they serve it to you, they make the oldfashioned style burgerson a griddle to order right in front of you, I ordered a Roadster's burger which is a half pound with 2 slices of cheese in between, the fries were handcut and they even make their own ketchup, being a big ketchup fan i was leary, but it was actaully really good. My friend ordered a bacon cheese burger salad, it was huge and also had a half pound of hamburger meat along with bacon and cheddar cheese, she also had the un-advertised onion rings, which are homemade and the thin style. They offer alot more than just burgers, they have steaks and barb que ribs, and I have gone back to try the grilled pork chops, I saw someone else order last time and it was definately not your average pork chop. I have since found out they have the same owners as Lupe Tortillas, which explains the sandbox on the back patio. They have a cool patio bar with t.v.'s and plenty of shade. it seems that the secret hasn't gotten out yet on their opening, but I am sure it won't be long. the only draw back is the bathrooms are so small you have to go outside just to change your mind.
- Pros: everything is from scratch
- Cons: Small bathrooms, no parking
