Houston >Animal Emergency & Referral Center of West Houston
This alleged pet emergency clinic is really a two part sales pitch to take as much of your money as possible. Sadly you will not know that while you are being given the sales pitch no emergency care is actually being provided. You will be kept in an exam room while your pet is taken to the back so you will not know what is actually going on. After paying $800 in tests, then being offered $9364.93 in additional services I found out that my dehydrated tiny two pound Chihuahua was never even started on fluids. Sadly by the time they admitted this it was too late and Litlle Bit died. We are devastated and can't believe that after putting down $800 deposit our poor dog was not even given any treatment for dehydration and suffered for over three hours. If you love your pet stay far away from this place!
DO NOT GO HERE.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!. They take advantage of people in desperate times and their management and ownership encourages this business practice. We were referred to this place by another vet and the cost was astronomical and once we paid for everything the vet had the nerve to say "oh if we knew money was an issue, then we would not have run test that were not needed". NEVER EVER TAKE your pet here.
If I could give this place negative stars I would!!!!
Dr. Ying and the entire staff did such an amazing job and I am happy to say our pet has recovered from her wounds and is back to her old staff. This place is wonderful.
I am so glad my vet recommended them.
Amazing. The doctor and staff were very kind and expressed sympathy following our loss of our dog, Mikki. Losing her was one of the saddest experiences of my life. They were very compassionate and professional during this difficult time and we are very appreciative. The paw print they made for us, will be cherished forever.
I Would Go Here Any Time of Day or Night.
This place is great. We are so thankful for the "awesome" care the entire staff gave our little one.
We appreciate the kindness, concern and most of all...the love showed. Our little one is doing much better now and it is all thanks to the great staff at this emergency clinic.
Very Compassionate Doctors and Staff.
Thank you for the guidance and compassion offered to me and my family the other night when we brought our beloved cat to the clinic. Our sadness & sense of loss runs deep, but I found surprising comfort in your very kind and reassuring note that you wrote us.
The effort you made to help us during and after our beloved's death was remarkable and very much appreciated.
Thank you so much for your kindness in our dark hour of need.
The Best. The Doctors and staff at the Animal Emergency Clinic of West Houston showed support and compassion for our little pet of 17 years when it was finally time to say goodbye to him. He was a christmas present for our children and was like family to us. The entire staff was professional in helping us through this difficult time in our lives.
Best Emergency Vet in Town. We really appreciate all that the staff did for our dog. All staff took time to explain things to us and answer all of our millions of questions. The are so caring towards our special guy. They are awesome and I will definately use them again if we need them.
The most expensive clinic I have ever seen.
Went there with a sick dog who was hemorrhaging. Had to spend six hours waiting on the ONE vet on duty. My time was mostly spent trying to negotiate a cheaper care plan. The clinic wanted nearly $6,000 to care for the dog for 48 hours!
Others in the waiting room had similar experiences. A woman who waited over five hours was shocked at a $4,000+ bill to care for her sick cat.
My dog died less than two hours after treatment began!
Every aspect! The doctors and staff were all equally attentive and exceeded my expectations! They saved my dog's life (diagnosed with HGE). I have never encountered such excellent vet care! I have recommended this hospitatl to everyone I know! Absolutely OUTSTANDING!
I didn't know care like this existed! The doc called us at 1am with an update and to make sure we understood everything, and encouraged questions. How refreshing!
