Dreadful Dining. Tonight is the last time I will ever eat at or go to Vieng Thai.

I have just had the most deplorable experience at this restaurant.

It is a neighborhood dive, which my neighbor and I have frequented on many occasions. Though I?ve gotten diarrhea almost every time I?ve eaten there, I go because my neighbor loves Thai food and it?s close and fast.

Usually I always try something different because I?ve yet to find the dish that truly appeals to me. The place is dirty and rarely has any a/c turned on. Tonight, the menu had a long black hair between the plastic covers. The bathroom is FILTHY and probably hasn?t been properly cleaned in years. I would be surprised if they?d be open if the Health Dept. had ever visited.

Lee, one of the waiters (owner?) is the most rude, ungracious and arrogant person. He shouldn't be working with the public.

My friend had apparently dropped her sunglasses when she sat down this evening. We were the only people in there, with the exception of one other table when Lee raced by, nudged my friend, pointed to the floor and said, "You dropped your glasses". He was standing just above them, yet she had to get up from the table and walk over to where he was standing to retrieve them.

My neighbor/friend has spent a fortune there -- eaten there at least twice a week for several years but tonight she ordered a new dish, Eggplant Salad. She took a bite and said it was not good and she couldn't eat it. When she complained to the waitress, the woman went to get Lee's permission to remove the item from my friend's bill.

Lee approached our table practically spat at my friend, saying, "I don't have time for you!" He walked away. I called him back over and told him that we have been eating there as loyal customers for a long time and that I didn?t appreciate his treatment of my friend. Lee faked a smile responding, "I don't care." I told him that I would never be back again since he was so rude to us. He said, "Thank you!" and ran away again. It?s not the first time he?s been rude but this evening he was over the top.

Why would ANYONE eat here????

My favorite Thai Restaurant!. My absolute favorite Thai restaurant. It's a hole in the wall , but the food is authentic and wonderful. If you don't like spicy, this restaurant may not be for you. The restaurant sometimes has an inconsistent spicy-ness. Sometimes, it's good spicy and other times it's my butt is on fire spicy. We joke around about how the cook angry the cook must be when the food gets extremely spicy. My favorite dishes include the Boat Noodle, Kee Mao Noodle, Nam Tok, and Beef Geng Dang Curry.

Great!!. I can't say anything bad about this place.. very well priced, food is fantastic.. the crowd was great.. Prompt seating. Loved it, will defiantly be back !!

hot soup here. Cute little place in old spring branch.

Tom Ka soup is really good, but must warn of the whole red thai peppers floating within, if you get one of these in your mouth, good luck to you. Hope you have a 44 oz drink nearby!

I wish they would use fresh mushrooms instead of canned straw mushrooms, but the flavor will keep you coming back.

the pad thai is excellent.
