What Our Expert Scouts Say

Jasmine Asian Cuisine
February 06, 2013

Located in the corner of a strip mall near Beltway 8 at Bellaire, Jasmine may not be as cosy as some smaller, intimate restaurants, but it is well appointed and the food quality is high. The specialty here is "ca 8 mon," or fish eight ways. You can also beef seven ways, or just order a la carte. Lunch specials are indecently low at approximately $5/plate. The grilled whole fish is one of the best in the city.

A variety. nice, pretty quiet place to eat. they have a seven dish deal or something that comes with alot of different foods, and most of it was pretty delicious. everything was good, service was pretty good, the seven course deal is pretty unique, and worth giving this place a try. i ordered one of those, and few other plates, I basically stuffed my face here. oh, i was with other people, not just me, so im not that much of a fat azz

Unfriendly & Rude (don't waste your time here). We were not felt welcome here. The waitress led us to a table and plopped the menu down, but didn't even tell us to sit. We had to continue following and ask her what table she wanted us to sit at. Then she motioned for us to sit at a table, which we did. Less than a minute later, some guy (must have been a manager) said something in Chinese to us (just because i'm Asian does not mean I speak Chinese) so I told him I don't understand what you're saying. He told us we had to move tables because the table we sat at was reserved. (Why were we seated there in the first place?) We were told to move to a much larger table, even though there were only two of us. So we stood for a few minutes and waited while the busboy cleaned the table. The chairs we were given to sit in were wet. The people working there were very unfriendly and cold. We decided to leave....never coming back!!!
