Happy Hour. I went on a Sunday with my family. They have complimentary mimosas all day! You also get one free edamame appetizer. Prices are very reasonable for a sushi place. Also try their noodle soup its really good!
Epic quality at common prices..
I travel a lot of places for business, and recently had the pleasure of eating here with a friend/co-worker who highly suggested this restaurant.
I was not disappointed even slightly. I tend to be very demanding on sushi quality, and find the garbage that most accept as great to be anything but. The sushi at Masa is very high quality and you can taste how fresh the fish is. Their Temaki (hand rolls) are well balanced (which tends to be hard to find) and their Maki rolls aren't as skimpy as you get elsewhere. Best thing is their Philadelphia roll isn't overly cream-cheesy like almost every other sushi restaurant tends to screw up.
i had better.
yes the food was okay and at lunch it was cheap. but the service WAS AWFUL and how they prepare the food made me sick.
i was sitting in the booth next to the sushi bar, and i got to see how they made the food and it was gross. they NEVER washed there hands and NO ONE wore gloves when making the sushi. The glasses we drank out of were dirty but no one could really see it because its too dark in the restaurant to notice, but next time have a look and you will see. And how they refill there soy sauce was disgusting, they would use there water pitchers to pour the soy sauce into there bottles then reuse it to refill drinks.
what made me never want to go back here was the awful service, it was at the end of the night (an hour before they closed) and i guess our waiter was too busy (even though we were pretty much they only people there) to service us. he kept on going outside to make phone calls and he was drinking was the owners, it took him 30minutes to bring our order out to us and when he did he gave us an attitude when we asked for more wasabi and ginger. Another waiter came to our table and took our soy sauces after that also. i would NEVER go back!
Sushi Friendly.
We tried Masa Sushi off of Nasa Road 1 for the first time this past Memorial Day weekend. We were seated at a nice table by the window, and immediately brought the menus. The sushi and sashimi offerings are extensive. We tried shrimp tempura, the shrimp roll, the crunch roll, and the Honolulu roll. All four of us at the table had our own opinions on which one was the best. But I have to say that the Honolulu roll was absolutely outstanding; I highly recommend it. You get about 10 pieces on this roll, which is served on a very long plate. It includes tempura shrimp, crabmeat, avocado, and much more. It is drizzled with honey mustard sauce, and is just incredibly delicious.
Our waitress was very attentive, very polite, and just a super DOLL of a cute japanese girl, who was very sweet in taking our order. We also had hot sake, an order of Japanese Udon noodles, and the Hibachi Steak. All of the dishes were very tasty and served steaming hot.
My two comments would be to have them not pick up the soy sauce and condiments from your table at closing, if you are still eating, and to turn the music down a little lowersofter. It was too loud in my opinion, but I did enjoy the variety of music. We will definately be going back again. The sushi and meals were fantastic.
PS: They brought us a complimentary bowl of Edamame (steamed soybeans) to our table, before we even ordered; very nice touch!
Good Stuff. I’m a hypercritical person when it comes to restaurants. I have really high expectations. So for me to not be able to find anything wrong with this place says enough. I think the cost of the food is reasonable and so is the food. I don’t eat raw fish but I do enjoy perusing their roll selection. I recommend the Crazy Roll. If you go on Sundays you get free edamame and mimosas! My husband gets the bento boxes which I don’t see the fascination with those but he is always pleased with them. I’ve never had any issues with bad service.
yummy!!!. Their signature rolls are really unique and tasty, worth every dollar of it. Small place but fast service. very romantic, definately worth to bring your date there for dinner.
