“Great fresh seafood, great family atmosphere, bring the kids, superb staff”
“My favorite dessert is Key Lime Pie (homemade by Miss Adrian).”
“Not only is the restaurant and bar itself very inviting with the softness of blue tones, hence "Blue Water", but from the moment you arrive, the friendly staff and service let you know you are ready for something special.”
“We were attentively served excellent food.”
“like PK's Blue Water Grill because it has fair amount of options.”
“The bar area is a great place to munch on appetizers and watch sports on the TV's.”
“Pricing was great, portions were more than adequate, and we will return with guests!”
“did however find that their service was very good.”
“PK´s is a wonderful addition to the area, with very reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere.”
“The service is quality, they go fast enough that you aren't left wondering what happened to your server, yet they are slow enough that you don't feel rushed and enjoy your meal.”
Wonderful Sunday Brunch!. My husband and I had Sunday brunch and were very impressed. The food was excellent and the service was very good. We enjoyed visiting with the owner, that's a nice touch! We are anxious to eat there again and will take friends with us.
Excellent boiled shrimp and fresh raw oysters!.
Excellent choice for fresh shrimp and oysters! The different cheese choices with the mashed potatoes is a refreshing change. The quail is excellent.
The staff always greets you with a warm welcome!
Friday is a fun evening with the piano bar!
An enjoyable dining expereince.
The Worst Seafood Ever.
My family and I visited this place on a Friday night and when we first walked in we were already a little puzzled as to why the entire restaurant only had about 10 guests! (This is not very typical for a seafood restaurant on a Friday night). By the time the food came out, we were ready to go! It then became apparent why the place was empty. The food was absolutly horrible! The fish fillets were the size of chicken nuggets and thier shrimp (grilled and fried) were absolutly disgusting! This place should be put out of business!
Even my two year old daughter pushed her food way after taking only a few bites. I can't say anymore than the food was just down right horrible!!!!!
Just wonderful. The best comparison for PK's is Pappadeaux, same price range, same categories of food. Upon entering the restaurant, you are promptly greeted and seated. The service is quality, they go fast enough that you aren't left wondering what happened to your server, yet they are slow enough that you don't feel rushed and enjoy your meal. The food is amazing! The rellano stuffed with shrimp and crab are amazing! Be sure to get those as an appetizer! The portions are good. The first time there I tried the fried shrimp, and they were just ok. But our second time I tried some items off of their mesquite grill, and those are just awesome! That seems to be their bread and butter, just order off the mesquite grill and you will not be disappointed! When you get your bill, you'll see its not the cheapest place in town, but when you factor in the amount of food and the superior quality, it has to be one of the best bargains around!
Great fresh seafood, great family atmosphere, bring the kids, superb staff. Upon entering the Bluewater Grill, I was greeted by an extremely friendly and attentive staff. Nice bar and happy hour special on food and drink. My wife arrived, kids in tow. We were attentively served excellent food. The kids loved the shrimp and grilled chicken children's menu, which was extremely reasonable at 5 to 6 bucks a plate. I ordered the raw oysters, very fresh and salty from Matagorda Bay. Wife had the mesquite grilled shrimp, and I had the mesquite grilled redfish. Both were very fresh and well flavored. Steamed and roasted veggies on the side that even the kids enjoyed. Menu is as rich or light as you want. This is truly a neighborhood gem that families should not hesitate to frequent.
Upscale casual seafood restaurant known for Gulf coast fare and fresh, seasonal catches..
In Short
The fact that owner Pat Kiley Jr. spent 16 years as the general manager of Goode Company Seafood should come as no surprise to locals who may recognize familiar favorites like Mexican seafood cocktail, smoky gumbos and mesquite-grilled snapper, redfish, flounder and halibut. Regional menu selections include a variety of salads, po'boys and platters, plus non-seafood entrees like the South Texas quail and sirloin. The family-friendly dining room is casual but well-suited to a special night out.
PK's Is Our Kind of Place.
This is my favorite restaurant in the whole neighborhood. I go here all the time, and I bring all my friends and colleagues here. When I don't have time to dine, I can quickly get take-out.
I am gradually working my way through the whole menu, and so far, my favorite entree is the Grilled Scallops with Jezebel glaze. My favorite dessert is Key Lime Pie (homemade by Miss Adrian). Oh yes, and the man who mixes the drinks is an artiste. Cheers.
Good food, nothing new to this side of town.. In short it just like Goode Company seafood, so if you like them you will like this place. It pretty much the same just not as fun of a place. (Kirby Dr.) I would have liked it more if the owner(s) would have made it more different. I was not a big fan of the look of the place, lots of blue.
Fresh Fish?........... Great Service.......
Well I would have given this place pretty good reviews since I have eaten there twice without incident and had decent service. The fish served to me(I think it was halibut) was fresh and the orders were nice size where I could split it with my husband and have a salad or soup which would be plenty for us. Anyway, we told my son about this place and his fist visit he really enjoyed the fish and raved about it to us about how fresh it was. On his second visit there however he got sick from his dinner, and said the place was awful and that he never was going to go there again. Anyway, I just don't know about P.K's I think my son should have said something to them but he just said he doesn't plan to go back there again. I don't know what to think since I was welcoming a new restaurant to the neighborhood and this happened. I guess I would try it again but there are other restaurants nearby which I haven't experienced this.
I did however find that their service was very good.
Super Flounder & Crab/Shrimp Appetizer.
This New place is casual with a fun atmosphere. The bar area is a great place to munch on appetizers and watch sports on the TV's. Tried the shrimp/crab rellenos--out of this world and the dip was a spicy ranch that is deliteful.
Service is friendly. Good place for a family dinner or date.
