Editorial Review for Sixth Street Bar & Grill – by Emily Hilton

In Short
What was clearly once a corner filling station provides a bird's-eye view to a busy intersection for outdoor patrons within the Heights. A large wooden deck is a popular place to grab a beer after work and enjoy a menu of sandwiches, kabobs and salads. Inside a large bar and cozy couches provides an alternate, yet far more smoke-filled environment.

Went with some friends to 6th street bar and grill on Monday night. I was impressed with the decor and relaxing environment, this is a great place for Happy Hour. I don't normally order food at happy hour, but my friends insisted on it. I had to split the huge 16oz. ribeye with one of my friends for only $12. They have a cook that works at one of the big steak houses during the day. All I can say on that not is YUM YUM! Our waitress had a great attitude and we really didn't have to wait for anything, if we looked up she was there! Looks like I finally found a Monday night hang out.

I go there on Saturday nights for the U. of Tennessee games and the wait staff is very attentive. They also serve the best beef vegetable soup ever! They could improve the wine list, but the beer selection is very good.

Pros: Food and TV

Cons: wine
