In Short – Co-owner and Chef Lance Fegen (formerly of Zula and Trevisio) built the restaurant around his love of surfing. Decorated in neutral shades, a centerpiece glass wall separates the open kitchen from the main dining room. The uncomplicated bistro-style menu is constantly changing and reflects in-season items and fresh flavors. Wine by the glass is suggested for the majority of menu items reflecting the emphasis on relevant wine pairings. –
A disappearing act

Several weeks ago, we decided to take an out of town guest to Glass Wall because we have always enjoyed the food and the service. Although it is a loud place, we correctly assumed that it wouldn’t be too loud because Tuesdays are generally slow.
The food was excellent; however, our waiter constantly disappeared on us. The bus boys kept our water glasses and bread plates filled, but who wants to go out to eat bread and water? Our guest was already seated with a drink when we arrived. When the waiter asked what we wanted to drink, we asked for a minute to view the wine list. After about 10 minutes of waiting, we ended up going to the bar to order the bottle of wine because our waiter had disappeared . Three times we had to ask the other wait staff to please send our waiter over.
After our order was placed, my husband asked if we should take our food “to go” because the waiter was constantly disappearing. The restaurant was fairly empty, so it wasn’t that the waiter was disappearing to tend to other patrons. I really felt like we were inconveniencing the waiter. Although, the food has always been wonderful, there are too many great restaurants in the Houston area to have to deal with bad service.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: wait staff pulls a disappearing act

I have been going to Glass Wall from it's very beginning and remain a loyal, devoted fan...i go weekly for the purest most original menu in the city...the staff has literally become an extended family...they work together as a team and have the best interest of their customers at heart...hands down there isn't a finer space in town.
- Pros: fresh ideas in menus options
Always a pleasure!!!

My husband and I have dined here many times. Sometimes we sit in the bar to watch the Astros and order from the bar menu. Hubby loves the fresh fish tacos! When friends are visiting from out of town, we always sit in a booth(reserve one, they go fast). Every time we order something different. The menu is limited but they change it every two months or so. Most wines we order are way more expensive elsewhere. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We feel at home here only I can't cook this well at our home. A welcome addition to our neighborhood.
- Pros: Relaxed, knowledgeable staff. Great wine prices!
- Cons: Can be loud on weekends
