Exciting Desserts. My friends and I went to Sushi Coast over the weekend for their desserts. They have a unique, appetizing dessert menu not found anywhere else in Clear Lake. I ordered the Fried Tempura Oreos. It is composed of about 10 fried oreos that surrounded a big scoop of vanilla icecream and whip cream. The plate was then drizzled with caramel, chocolate, and powdered sugar. It was a great way to end the night.

I have gone here for the sushi as well. Try the Honey Lobster Roll....it is so good!

Sushi Coast. My friend and I make a point to visit Sushi Coast a couple times a month (at least). It's our favorite place to eat out. I will admit that the sushi isn't the best there is, but we go more for the other food served. They also offer your standard tempura dishes, donburi (rice bowls with toppings), onigiri, agedashidofu and other arrays of appetizers, actual ramen, and udon/soba noodle bowls quite similar to what I've eaten in Tokyo.

The decor is very contemporary with bright colors and fish. I find the price affordable. I've also never had the situation where I'm stuck waiting to be helped, but then, we tend to go after the normal lunch rush.

Gross. Very "Americanized" -- so may appeal to 1st time sushi eaters. I've been eating sushi for a while, and was VERY DISAPPOINTED. The decor was kind of corny, but not dirty, and was clean.

The miso soup tasted like it was made from a package at the dollar store. The sushi was even worse. It was hot and gooey! GROSS overall experience.

Excellent Sushi!!!. My wife and I try to eat here as often as possible, at least once a week. I don't know if this is the best sushi in the world, but for the Clear Lake area, it's as good as it gets. The fish is always very fresh and well prepared! Some of our favorites are - The Sabrosito, Galactic Booty, and Rainbow rolls. But I've never had anything i didn't like. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Sushi by Luis????. I have been there twice and both times the service was marginal. I love sushi and sashimi and have eaten it all over the US from coast to coast and the sushi was just average. They are really proud of what they serve and that is reflective of their price. I live in the Clear Lake area and there are many better sushi places than this place to go to.

Great Sushi!. We eat at Sushi Coast every Sunday (3-4 pm 25% off). They have the most creative and tasty rolls of all sushi bars we have been to. You must try the Sabrosito Roll (watch out it is spicy). The service is always excellent and the staff is very knowledgable and great about making recommendations.

Clear Lake strip mall sushi gets a boost from stimulating decor and deftly prepared fish dishes.. In Short
Clear Lake has its share of assembly line sushi, but the accessible menu items here up the sushi restaurant options for area devotees. The small strip mall restaurant manages to not seem cramped; likely due to the vibrant colors and cheeky, handcrafted pottery fish and masks by local ceramic artist Mike Quinn decorating the walls. The menu offers the usual Japanese/sushi offerings including flavorful miso soup, crisp tempura appetizers, generous sashimi and a variety of rolls.

one of the better trendy restaurants on bay area. you might be a little confused upon first impression. it may not look or feel like any sushi restaurant you've been to, rather, more like a seafood spot. i was a bit disappointed with the ambience. trendy, yes, but not as cozy or homey as one would expect from a sushi restaurant. other than that, the sushi is decent, probably one of the better qualities on the SE side of houston. the desserts are succulent and tasty - one of their better highlights, so for sure, finish your meal with one ... you won't be disappointed~!*
