Excellent casual Filipino cafe....
I went to try Sarap Pinoy for the first time the other day in Humble, TX. Sarap Pinoy is a store with a variety of products from the Philippines, with a casual dining cafe in the middle.
I went around 2pm for the lunch buffet, and they had a variety of food. Everything was was delicious and the ginataang gulay and adobo chicken was especially good. Service was helpful and friendly.
I will be back!
Please read! important notice....
Guys, I am so sorry about the review seeming to have come from the owner
. My daughter had written this, not knowing the consequence of her actions. She was young at the time, and I did spell out what she had done. unfortunately, she is not able to take down the review. Please accept my sincerest apologies with the assurance that this will not happen again.
Owner gave own Review?!. It looks like one of the owners of this restaurant gave their own fictional review?! Unfortunately this happens a great deal and is very sad and agrivating! But at least others don't make it so obvious....Take a look at the first excellent review...the member name is the EXACT name as the restaurant! Please don't insult my intelligence by telling me you made a CitySearch account with the same name as the restaurant you are reviewing?! This makes me sad and angry! I was looking for a REAL review! I only gave one star because I had to give it to be able to alert my fellow diners to this (possible?hmm) fraud review!
ZOMG I LOVE THIS PLACE. So my best friend, Anna, and I were stuck in Houston, because of a delayed flight, and were starving. Then, we remembered that Anna's boyfriend, a Filipino, cooked AMAZING food. So, we put Filipino Food in the GPS and we were off! Sarap Pinoy was the first place it took us to, and, honestly, at first, it looked kind of small. But, they had a huge Christmas Tree in the center that made if feel homey(: The Manager(?) spoke amazing english, and, since we had no idea what any of the food was (except the Pancit!! YUM) she showed us everything. Anna and I ate sooo much Pancit and Lumpia, and then we shared a HaloHalo while watching Tv! It was awesome!! Afterwords, we bought some candy and bread(Pandesal?) from a super nice cashier! I love that place! It felt like I was in a home! haha I can't WAIT to go back! Delay my next flight PLEASE! As we were leaving, I almost asked if they delivered to Canada! I sure wish they did. This place is now my second favorite restaurant, other than Olive Garden! Everyone was so nice and friendly, the food was amazing, and, wow, I just can't wait to go back!
I just have one more thing to say: i made an account here JUST to write this!! haha soooo excited!!
Worst Filipino Restaurant in Houston, Tx.. We went to Houston for the weekend and was really excited about eating filipino food we found one close to the hotel, and it was about 20miles away in humble and it had a good review. When we found the place it looked like a small grocery store and no one even helped up for like 5 minutes, eventually we ask if we could eat and they just nodded their heads and didn't give us menus or anything. We looked at the buffet table and there was only 5 things in their and they didn't even looked good. Basically I would never in a million years recommend this place to anyone, bad service and the food is bad.
Absolutely the Best!. I always visit their restaurant when I'm in town. Our family has ordered food for our parties and we're never disappointed. Great food, nice service. Authentic Filipino cuisine, oh a great place to get vcds, phonecards and pinoy goodies. try them out.
