was fun until.... i heard they closed it recently. Used to be the spot for House Music untill a few cool guys got in a shootout. maybe they'll re-open with a different name

Great hidden spot!! Just dont Valet.. Great music! Great atmosphere! The bar staff was awesome. A friend and I went two weeks ago for the first time and was extremely impressed, until we realized the valet stole from both of us.

I still recommend the bar, Just park on the street!!!

drum circle rave. OMG.. I so completely loved loved loved this venue but I absolutely cant remember the name of the guys who did the show and its supposed to be a regular venue like every 3rd or last weds of the month. Grr! If anyone knows the name of these guys please leave a message on myspace Faith Underground.

I want to go back but it has to be when they are there I have only so many place I can be in the week.

But as for the staff yes they were very funny we had an inccident in the bathroom they did what they could lol it was so funny.

Next Time we will keep a shorter leash on our friends.lol

In the end the staff actually apologized to us and I thought wow these guys are great!

Yes drinks were good had a blast.

But If there were any way to expand would be in great interest...way crowded

Best House Music in Town. Went there last night. Great place. Awesome sound system, and the music was out of this world. Absolutely amazing. This is a very unique, eclectic place with friendly people where everyone has a good time regardless of who/what they are. No attitudes, no snobs, no wannabes, just great place. I was impressed. I am bringing my friends next week. The door and bar staff was friendly and professional and treated us with respect. Mixed drinks were strong. NO HIP-HOP These guys are not selling out. As a single guy, I wish there were more single girls.

Awesome music & friendly staff. Been there a couple of times!! The place has great music for those of you that enjoy house and electro. It has plenty of room to sit, dance or hang by the bar. It has a very different look and vibe from any other bar in midtown! If you have a chance you need to stop by. Oooh and the staff is just the best ever from the front door to the restrooms way in the back!!

House Music all night long!!! LOVE IT~~~. Good vibe and excellent music. Classy with groovy atmosphere. Definitely recommended. Staffs are friendly and ALSO very cool.

It has it all!. If you're looking for a place with an eclectic mix of music and people and an unpretentious vibe, then a38 is the place for you. The djs never disappoint, and there's an actual wooden dance floor for those who like to shake it! They also bring in international talent and never charge a cover. The bartenders are fast and friendly, and the staff aims to please. A refreshing escape from the usual midtown BS!

Love it!!!. Went to a38 last weekend with a few friends. Great music, great drinks and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a new place to go.

Chill club. I dig it.. I like the lighting of this place, although it could be a bit darker. The sound system is immaculate though!! The bar tenders are good looking and the service is fast. There is also a great drink special from 10-12 on Wednesday nights. Give this place time to grow into its own and it will be the place to be.

Finally a place to listen to good dance music!!!. I am happy that a place like this finally opened up in Houston. They pay special attention to electronic music and bring on some of the best dj's from the USA and Europe. I saw Anu from the UK dance gorup Freeform Five and it wa s a blast! If you like great dance music and a late dancing crowd, go to this venue, esp. on Wednesday nights, it's a indie-rock/electro/80's free for all called Boys & girls Club. A38 is always free and from what i can tell, the crowd shows up and hits the dancefloor around 11:30.
