Good, quick tacos!. When we need a quickie breakfast taco, this is the place! The veggie breakfast taco is very good. Fish tacos are excellent too (either fried or grilled [less fat]). Waitstaff is wonderful, as a rule. Ambience is friendly, casual - usually a sports event going on the tvs. Family friendly, good value for your money. Ample parking, too. It is at least a monthly visit on weekends. Wish they did breakfasts during the week....

Tasty and friendly. I'm not sure why other reviews gave the criticisms they did... I understand not liking the tamales if they seem burnt, but I've my tamales have always been good. As far as ordering at the counter, I don't thing this is strange at all. A TON of restaurants do this. If it's not your thing, fine, but don't be a snob about it. Also, the bar is in the back of the restaurant and does not take over the whole place.

The veggie breakfast tacos are awesome and the corn enchiladas are fabulous. I'm a vegetarian and have never had a problem with meat in my food.

Great little spot and wi-fi too.... love these guys! I can sit at the bar and get a little work done. The pulled pork taco is the way to go. Keep up the good work guys...

Berryhill Bar, is more like it. You have to order your food and drinks at the register. They then bring it out to you. What an odd practice. The only thing that impressed me selection wise about the menu is that they have roasted corn. Seems like so-so even for just Tex Mex. The bar was nice, tv screens around you nice variety. The drinks are overpriced imo. Nice patio, though.

Going Down :(. We have been going here for a couple of years and each visit it gets noticeably less worth the money. Well drinks are $6.00 which is insane for a little "neighborhood" spot like this. My boyfriend and I had 4 drinks between us and a SINGLE enchilada - no meal and a SINGLE taco - again no meal and our bill was over $50.00 - we were there an hour. In these times I am done with the poor value we can get at Berryhill. Cyclone Anaya's is much better food and service and the price is the same. When I am going to spend $50 on a quick dinner it will not be at Berryhill in the Heights. I feel like I was held up!

A great place for Monday dinner. They may have one of the best deals in town for dinner on Monday nights. Start your week with $1.99 fish tacos. That's right - fish tacos under $2! What a deal.

This popular taqueria chain serves simple Mexican favorites with a perfect mix of kitsch and sophistication.. In Short
This location of the popular chain is just blocks from where Walter Berryhill once lived and made the tamales he sold from a cart in River Oaks. The tamales are still good, but the star today is the fish taco. Sweet, farm-raised catfish is lightly battered and fried, tucked into two corn tortillas, heaped with cilantro and red cabbage threads and drizzled with sweet hot sauce. Don't miss the shrimp-and-avocado salad, punched up with horseradish-spiked remoulade.

Great place value for money. Manages to have an adult bar with a few draft beers, TV's, friendly bar staff and some regulars while families with kids play yards away. Works well maybe because this is the Heights. The food never impressed me at this chain but it is cheap and usually good. Great addition to the area.

Great for families. This place is great to take your kids and enjoy good food with a margarita....the whole family has fun! They have a great patio for dining alfresco.
