Best Hair Colorist in Houston- UMAR. Umar at Thairapy is a magnificent hair stylist but more specifically, he does an amazing, outstanding job on my color. My hair color is always consistent and looks glorious like the very first time he colored my hair. I love Umar! I don't have to stress about my color bc I know it is going to be perfect. I can just relax and enjoy his company. The spa itself is great. They have great stylist with big personality, it’s always a fun atmosphere. I actually look forward to my appts., it just so much fun. The salon is always clean and best of all they serve awesome mimosas’. Love this place; if you need a colorist, you need to hit up Umar at Thairapy!

Lisa is Fantastic!. I have been searching for just the salon for me . . . one that will listen to my thoughts on what I want, take into consideration what may not be possible, discuss those considerations and make adjustments, and then find out more about my lifestyle that creates limitations on what I will be able to do with my hair. Lisa at Thairapy did just that! I love my cut and, just since last Thursday when I cut and colored, have gotten dozens of comments on how great my hair and color look. I found my new salon and stylist/colorist and I'm staying! She listened to everything and I got exactly the cut and color that will work for me. I love that the salon is smaller and more of a boutique style, but offers all services at reasonable prices. They even called afterward to find out if my cut and color are working for me and if I was happy with the services. Do give Lisa a try . . . you WON'T be sorry.

Umar is Amazing. I absolutely loved my hair cut. I have always had problems with people cutting my hair because of my cowlicks and my curly hair. He did a fabulous job, and I loved the ambiance of the salon!!

I would recommend everyone to stop by and get their hair did by Umar!

Umar is the BEST!. I have had many salon experiences but this has by far the best. My stylist was very patient with me, he did not talk down to me or make me feel like just another head of hair. He asked me what i wanted, let me bring in pictures prior to the appointment and even allowed me to send him emails of the other ideas i had about my hair. He explained to me how to maintain my color and gave me options that worked for my budget. I highly recommend

Umar to any one who is looking for a true professional. My hair looks great and i getting so many compliments on my color. My hair looks wonderful! i am so happy with his work! I will be back!

Umar is the Best!. The atmosphere is sooooo relaxing. The staff is very professional. And..well...Umar is simply "the Best".

Disappointment. I had a hair cut, which made my hair all uneven and the hairdresser thinned my hair so much that I could not believe. It seemed that he was doing that for the first time and did not know when to stop. I also had highlights. After a while having my hair under the drier, some type of liquid slipped into my right eye. I had to yell to have someone come and help me wash my eye (which hurt quite a bit, but luckily no permanent damage). When checking out, the hair dresser increasingly insisted that i buy certain product. Reluctantly, I ended up buying this product, which I have never used, but felt under pressure to acquire it.

Even though my first experience was not the best, I decided to give the salon a second change and scheduled an updo and make up. The lady doing my updo performed a horrible job; and the make up I had to wash off when I got home. I do not recommend this place at all.

Lisa did a terrific color and cut -- gorgeous!. I went into Thairapy today, never having colored my hair before, and the front 1/3rd was grey. Also needed a cut with shape, style, but easy to manage. Lisa talked to me for a long time, determining what cut and color would best fit my personality and be the most natural looking.

She did a fabulous job! Everyone is saying how shiny, healthy and beautiful my hair is. The grey is gone, and a rich, glossy brown -- very very natural, only healthier looking and feels silky! The cut is classic, perfect for my face and my busy schedule. Thank you Lisa for my wonderful hair!!!

WONDERFUL and GREAT PRICING. I've gotten hooked on thairapy!! Lisa gave me a great hair cut and Umar was wonderful with my husband. We had just moved to houston and I had recently colored my hair red at my previous salon, and wanted to go back to my natural dirty blonde color. Lisa knew exactly what cool, dark tinted color needed to be put in my hair to react with the red and change me back to my natural color. I was so scared when I first saw the ash color she was putting in, but we talked for like 30 minutes before she did anything. She really took time to make sure I understood the process, She wasn't bossy or pushy and I would urge anyone who goes to her to trust her. The colors reacted just as she said they would and I got my natural color that I love back. Go to thairapy! They have talented, passionate stylist you can trust and the prices are the best you'll find for this high quality.

Does not wax men. bad salesmenship! After inquiring about waxing service, was told by receptionist that the tech doen't perform bikini waxing services on men and was hungup on.
