Will not return. I've been getting Brazilians from Zhila for 6 months to a year. I was interested in sugaring since it's better for your skin and was pleased to find out about Sweet Sensation.

Things to Note

1) The location is small so you can hear conversations between Zhila and other customers.

2) She may ask you to open the door for customers as the door stays locked.

3) She schedules about three people per 15-30 minute time slot.

All of this is fine and not a big deal.

The negatives however are impossible to ignore. Many times I have to call more than once to make an appointment as no one returns my call. One time I didn't hear from anyone for a week. Finally someone called and said Zhila had been out for two weeks and to call tomorrow. Why couldn't she call me? Isn't she the one earning my business?

Also, there have been times when the wax was too hot for me. Last time in particular I mentioned this to her. Instead of taking this into account, she proceeded on and told me I was too sensitive. I have burns as a result. To top it off, not all the hair is gone.

I want to like Zhila and Sweet Sensation, but, after last time, I will not return. Sugaring is a great method of hair removal, but the lack of customer service will make me take my business elsewhere.

best brazilian I've ever had. I just moved to Houston and was really anxious about having to find a new place to get a Brazilian. I have extremely sensitive skin and thick hair, so waxing has always been particularly excruciating for me. I expected I would not find anyone here I trusted as much as my esthetician back home. Boy was I wrong!

My old Brazilians were 45 min torture sessions and I would get lots of ingrown hairs.

My first time with Zhila took about 10 minutes, no bleeding, and I've had far less ingrowns than ever before.

i won't lie and say it was painless because it was painful, however, it happened so fast and was done before I knew it, so there was much less pain than what I've experienced in the past.

this woman is a Pro and I will never see anyone else as long as she is working. Zhila, THANK YOU, you are amazing, and a sweetheart. I'm almost looking forward to our next appointment!

Zhila is a hoot!. Zhila (owner) knows her stuff! She gives fast service and you end up looking beautiful. I had never had my eyebrows or facial hair "threaded" before. She really does a great job of shaping the brows. She also gives the best Brazilian I have ever had. Far, far superior to wax. I would fully recommend her. I have been going to close to 3 years now.

Sugaring is THE BEST!!!. Zhila is absolutely amazing! I went to her for my very first Brazilian and she was very patient! I was so scared it was going to be painful, and she eased my fears. She was a total sweetheart, and I definitely felt very comfortable in her care! I would recommend her services to anyone, especially for your first Brazilian.

best hair removal in houston, painless compared to waxing!. Sheila is amazing, she really knows what she is doing! She will make you totally comfortable, and the hair removal process using sugar is almost painless compared to waxing. Highly recommended that you try this out, and you'll never go back to waxing, and will never go anywhere else again!

Eyebrow threading experience. I was new to Houston from Los Angeles and had a wonderful eyebrow waxing artist in LA that I hated leaving. I went onto City Serch to try to find someone in Houston who did a wonderful eyebrow job. I read about Zhila and made an appointment. Her office is very, very cute, charming, and well decorated. I had a full day of errands to run with my eyebrow appointment being 1st on the list. She made me wait 35 minutes past my appointment time which totally messed up my timing of running errands for the rest of the day. However, when I was waiting, 4 other people were waiting to get a bikini wax and they were raving about how wonderful she is....I think that must be her speciality. I tried to explain to her the way I wanted my brows to look, but she didn't want to hear it and said she knew what to do. I tried the threading method for the 1st time and found it to be very painful....perhaps because it was my 1st time, I'm not sure. I am now going to try another person at a different salon. I'm not saying I wouldn't return to Zelia, but I definitely wasn't 100% happy with my experience.

Zhila is the absolute best...hands down!!!. My daughter and I have been loyal patrons of Zhila's since 2005. Like countless others, I had suffered thru many horrific brazilian and underarm waxes that often resulted in burned/missing skin, relentless ingrown hairs and scarred skin. One day in my seemingly neverending search for a spa/waxing salon that would yield good results, I found myself speaking with Zhila. She listened patiently as I told of my past botched waxing sessions. When I was finished she explained the sugaring process and its many benefits verses that of traditional waxing. Zhila empathetically assured me that if I came to see her, I would not regret it. She jokingly told me that she was the best... I told her "that's exactly what the other lady said " whom I had recently called before calling Zhila. We laughed, I went to see her, I got my brazilian, I made an appointment for my daughter and the rest is history. Zhila and the sugaring process that she uses has made my skin unbelievably smooth and totally free of ingrown hairs/hair bumps. I've even experienced less hair regrowth just like she promised. I enjoy my sessions with Zhila, they are always pleasant and relaxing. The music is very calming and soothing . An appointment with Zhila is absolute utopia for me, but don't take my word for it...go and experience it for yourself! And just for the record, not only did I get a great esthetician... I was blessed to gain a truly wonderful friend as well. I love Zhila and you will too!!!

I will NEVER WAX again!. I love SUGARING and I love Zhila - and i will never go back to waxing again! I have very sensitive skin and sugaring has been by far the best hair removal I have ever experienced. Zhila is GREAT! She is friendly and creates an atmosphere where you barely even notice you are there and then you are finished! I highly recommend Sweet Sensations to EVERYONE!

Best Bikini Wax in Houston!. Sweet Sensations is a true Houston treasure. The owner, Zhila, is wonderful! Her pricing is extremely fair and she will always work with you to ensure that you get an appointment. Zhila's studio is very clean and provides a relaxing environment. She is extremely quick and efficient. I have been going to Sweet Sensations for several years and have always had a positive experience.

You will never go back to regular waxing again after you have tried sugaring at Sweet Sensations!

Best Bikini Wax in the World. Zhila is AMAZING!!! Sugaring is a totally new experience. After years of terrible brazillians, Zhila is a MIRACLE. Her technique is superb. Her service is excellent. And, sugaring is a close to PAINLESS as bikini waxing gets. One trip to Sweet Sensations and you'll never go to another spa again!
