Very impressed for multiple reasons. I have been to a couple of other places over the last year or so for consulting and laser treatments for my face. Based on their recommendations, I’ve done laser skin resurfacing, IPL, laser hair removal and have tried multiple skin care products to remove dark spots, even out my skin tone, remove acne scarring and prevent future breakouts. After the first few laser treatments, my skin looked great but the breakouts continued and the dark spots came back. I was getting a bit frustrated and not sure what I should do next. I just happened to drive by this place, wrote the name down and called the following day. They said the consultation was free so I figured I didn’t have anything to lose but I wasn’t very hopeful. I am so glad I made the appointment!! Chris is the person I worked with and he spent over an hour with me during my consultation visit. We talked about my past treatments, results, concerns, expectations, etc.. He had recommended a skin care product treatment instead of lasers because he was pretty certain I was going to get the results I wanted from this. I’m one of those instant gratification type people so I told him I would use the products for maintenance after the laser treatments. I did one laser treatment for the brown spots but during my follow up visit 2 weeks later, Chris truly believed I would get the results I wanted from the products instead of additional laser treatments and encouraged me to try them for a few weeks and see what I thought. I’m so glad I listened! I am very happy with the results I have seen so far and it’s nice to know that I can keep my face looking this good with the maintenance plan using the same products.

To summarize, I am extremely pleased with the Skin Renaissance Laser Center because of the following:

Very friendly and helpful staff (Anna and Chris)

They genuinely seemed to care about my long term results

They didn’t push to sell me on multiple laser treatments even though they knew I would buy them and that they were more expensive than the products; they recommended a longer term, less costly solution

They scheduled follow up visits after the laser treatment as well as after the product use (neither of the other places did this; they just scheduled my next laser appointment

Laser treatments are less expensive than both previous places I’ve been to

Family members and co-workers have noticed quite a difference in my face lately and I have referred them all to the Skin Renaissance Laser Center as they have been to other places for treatment but have not been completely happy with the service, price and results.

TERRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. I made an appointment for a skin consultation and was seen by Dee Dee. She immediately greeted me with a surly attitude and behavior that showed she just did not want to be there. In the exam room she was belligerent in her questioning, condescending, and outright rude. I decided to end the appointment there and reschedule with the Doctor or the manager, and as I was trying to do that she began complaining about me to the receptionist. She then tried to start a fight with me by directing her complaints toward me. It was a really odd, unprofessional and unnecessary exerience which was aggravated by her bitterness toward her job. I would go elsewhere if I were you.

best skin doctor. I feel this doctor does the most to make his patients experience the utmost procedure for the money I know this sounds like a cliche, but where do you find this care anymore? I don't know. Everyone worries about the dollar sign, but this doctor still seems to care in his art of making a patient feel better, and thus look better. I am sold on this doctor. My face looks at least 10 years younger than when I started and I was not desperate. He knows what he is doing and will not over sell you. This seems the farthest from his mind as he explains in detail how he will give you the most value for the buck in making you look better . If you are looking for restoration, he is the most compassionate doctor I have found in Houston to restore your face and psychologically make you well as as well.

best doctor care ever. OK, Dr. Barrios is an amazing doctor, comparable care and attention to a less frantic, tech oriented time. Very personable! I have had several procedures done by him and he has never disappointed.me. Well, he surpassed all expectations and I was made to feel like I was his only patient, unheard of today!

People are motivated to write negative reviews. I never write on these boards, and I am afraid to let the secret out. I want to keep him all to myself. He is probably the best at what he does in town. I would not trust ANY other doctor to do a permanent filler for one example. If you are thinking of some kind of facial plastic surgery, please go to him first for a first opinion and trial procedure. It will save you thousands of dollars in my humble opinion. I knew I did not have to walk around looking the way I did. The problem was finding the right doctor.

DR. BARRIOS IS A TRUE ARTIST. TWICE I HAVE HAD PROCEDURES DONE BY DR. BARRIOS.

THE CLINIC IS SPOTLESS, THE STAFF HELPFUL, AND THE PRICE IS QUITE FAIR.

I Look 10 Years Younger!. Dr. Barrios is the best! I have been to the Skin Renaissance Laser Center for several corrective procedures. I have never been disappointed. The results I?ve achieved are amazing. The brown sun spots on my face and hands are gone. The broken vessels around my nose have been removed. Using Radiesse, Dr. Barrios corrected sagging below my eyes and around my chin. He removed the frown lines at the corners of my mouth, and filled other areas which were beginning to sag. My entire face looks more plump and youthful. On my most recent visit, Dr. Barrios used the derma filler Restylane to correct fine lines near my eyes and corners of my nose. I look and feel so much younger. People estimate my age to be anywhere from 27 to 35? I am actually 42.

Dr. Barrios is very polite and professional. He has an excellent bed-side manor: always smiling, with a great sense of humor. Both he and his staff are well informed about the products they use, and have years of experience. I would not entrust my appearance to anyone else.

Great service with a smile at a great price... Oh my goodness....how can people say those lies about Skin Rennaisance Laser Center? Believe me....they are all lies. I am pretty sure it is something concocted by a competitor who wants to take the business away from this small but friendly and outstanding skin treatment place. I went once just to try a simple procedure but i have been back a few times more eversince. The servcies are very affordable compared to other places and Dr Barrios always gives you this personal, one on one treatment each time . He is such a great doctor and I am a fan....I trust him and so far I have been very satisfied with all the treatments I have received over there. The staff are all wonderful and knows how to make a patient feel at ease and comfortable. On the scale of one to ten , i will rate this place a 12. Go ahead, give it a try....i assure you, you will get the same satisfaction that i have. GREAT SERVICE , GOOD PEOPLE , RIGHT PRICE.....

Dr. Barrios is an artist.. I have been to Dr. Barrios for fillers and I am so thrilled with the natural appearance of his work; no one can attribute my more youthful appearance to any obvious change. By contrast, I have had fillers done previously by a well publicized plastic surgeon who gave me a very "worked on" appearance. I have also had Chris Wright remove spider veins from around my ankles painlessly and with better results than I imagined possible. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. The clinic is new and very clean; and they offer hours that accommodate MY schedule.

This place is a RIP-OFF. Do not get into this TRAP spa, this people are only after one thing, to RIP YOU OFF!

plus the salon instruments are dirty and i saw cockaroaches on the coach during one session.

the staff is very impolite. the doctor is not even a dermatologist, be careful. There are much better option in the montrose area, if you drive on richmond and sheperd close to 59, there are 3 or 4 cozy and clean salon spas, with great prices, plus the doctors are skin trained (dermatologists).
