I've tried calling them today several times & got no where - basically it goes straight to voice mail. What kind of business is this?
IS THIS COMPANY EVEN LEGIT??

I have seen some hard times fall on many companies but I think this one takes the cake. Not only do they slam their competition (very unprofessional) but they will steal your application fee and never return your calls.
My personal experience with this company consists of me filling out their online questioner, waiting waiting and waiting with no response AT ALL from anyone at this company. I decide to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that maybe their website wasnt working properly so after 3 days I called....no answer.....so I called back again the next day and reached a lady by the name of Ada who although seemed nice enough she was completely flying with her head in the clouds and unable to answer any of my questions about the neighborhood. When I asked her if it was possible to find a place within my budget of $1000 she warned me that it would be very tough and that it might take more time than she would like to spend. Although the service of in the loop properties is supposed to be free I was lead to feel like I needed to offer her some money for gas and her time involved. It made me feel very awkward!!
Despite my first impression of this company I was lost and desperately needed their assistance in finding a place to live so I proceeded forward with Ada and managed to find a place that was suitable for my needs, I even paid her some gas money which she gladly accepted from me (I was shocked)! When I submitted my application and application fee of $35 thats when it all went down hill. I did not hear back from her for 4 days, I left several messages and she did not return my calls, when I finally reached her by calling from my friends cell phone she abruptly informed me that the landlord when with another applicant. I asked if I could get my application fee back and she said "its non refundable and you signed the disclaimer agreeing to that". I didnt recall signing anything stating that but admittedly I never thought I would be scammed out of 35 bucks....Pitiful!!
No worries folks, this story does have a happy ending after all! After being scammed by in the loop properties I attempted my own online search for an apartment and it was there that I stumbled across an ad on Craiglists for an apartment for lease. The Realtor that I spoke with bent over backwards to help me find the perfect place to rent and even gave me $35 back after I leased the apartment to make up for what in the loop properties had done. If your looking for an apartment I suggest you call (832) 392-8741 and talk to Danielle, shes great!!
Never heard back.!

After reading all the great reviews here, I went ahead and contacted this agency, and got in touch with Ada.
She seemed helpful at first, and gave me her cell phone number and email, but I got her first email a little late. I decided to ignore it and giver her a little more time, before making a judgement call. After replying to her email with properties I was interested in, I never head back.
Word of advice to agency/realtor .....don't take on projects you cannot complete.
Wouldn't recommend.
Made our relocation so much less stressful

Amy with In the Loop Properties was so much help. She did our searching for us, and truly found the best places based on our criteria. My wife and I spent hours and hours doing our own internet research (because we're not from Texas), and her list was so much better than hours, so we gave up searching for ourselves.
She took us around town and even waited while we filled out the rental application. As I mentioned, we're not from Texas, so we have no idea how to get around. The same tour of apartments would have taken three days without her.
Amy is relatively new to the company but certainly not to Houston. We quizzed her all afternoon about how best to get places and how long it would take, characteristics or various neighborhoods, etc. We cross-checked a few of her responses with some folks we know from Houston, and Amy was spot on.
Thanks, Amy, for everything.
- Pros: Very responsive. Knows Houston in and out.
- Cons: No negatives to speak of
Ada Wesley is great!

Because we're doing a cross-country move, I communicated with Ada mostly by email and phone in the two weeks prior to our trip to find an apartment. We only had one day to find a place, and Ada found us a great place in a great neighborhood. We had a lease signed in four hours! She stayed within our price range, helped us to get the amenities we wanted, and obviously had a great rapport with the apartment managers. I highly recommend Ada.
- Pros: great communication, houston expert
- Cons: none
