Matt is absolutely the DIVINE!! I've been going to Matt for 14 years and with good reason. He has NEVER given me a hair cut that I don't like. The last time I went to someone else, I cried. Than went to Matt and he fixed it.

I love short hair and I constantly change it, Matt the one to go to. When I'm not sure what I want, he is patient and helps me figure it out. When I want to try something new but not sure, he is honest. If he is completely booked he will do his best to squeeze me in. He has been cutting hair longer than I've been alive (am 27 yrs old), and he is a perfectionist. He takes his time and listens to what I want.

I will never go to anyone else!!

Erica is hands down is THE BEST!!! Her precise placement of hair, her experience, her great personality, yet extremly professional attitude top it off. You'll leave a new person...with the best hair cut!! Her quality of hair is top of the line, she cuts no corners. love, love!!!!!!! Her and my hair. DO not waste your time & money elsewhere.

Erica is AMAZING. Erica has been doing my hair for almost five years and she does such an amazing job. I am very hesistant to let anyone touch my hair but she always manages to make it look beautiful everytime. She blends the natural and the added hair so beautifully and it looks so natural. You would never be able to tell they were extensions. She is simply THE BEST!!

Erica Baldwin is the only one who will touch my hair!. I just moved to Houston from Detroit and after working at a salon for five years I was really nervous about someone new doing my hair.

But finding Erica at Blue Mambo really was the "light at the end of the tunnel" for me.

My hair has honestly, never looked this good!!

Erica is a hair goddess. My blonde is beautiful, I've never been so happy with my color. She broke up my base and it was honestly just what I needed.

At my consultation with her, I just KNEW she was the person I wanted to do my hair. She came in special for me on a night she normally didn't work and worked around my crazy schedule because I am going to Vegas next weekend and wanted my extensions done.

I was not an easy client...a lot of work went into the processes she had to do to my hair. And I am very thankful for all her hard work and expertise.

She took out my old Great Lengths Extensions(educated me on Hair Loc Extensions..which will save me money in the long run), applied my PERFECT shade of blonde, washed, blow-dry, applied the most amazing set of Hair Locs (cannot see any of them...that girl can weave.) and then to top it all off, I showed her a picture of a haircut that I wanted.. a drastic A-line short to long bob... and she re-created it perfectly.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY WITH MY HAIR.

She listens, and gives you what you want!

People stop me and tell me how GREAT my hair looks. And I can't remember the last time that has happened.

I'll admit...I stop at every reflection. I'm honestly so happy with my hair. I can't wait to see Erica again! I know that she is the only one who will touch my hair again.

Erica at Blue Mambo - hair extensions. I got my first hair extensions at Blue Mambo 5 weeks ago and it has been a good experience. My hair had thinned out a lot due to medications. The extensions have given me more volume and it looks very natural. It is expensive, but Erica knows what she is doing and I trust her expertise. She installed about 75 extensions and during the past week 3 have come out which I understand is about normal. I am saving those for Erica to put back in when I return to her in about 6-8 weeks for the rods to be "pushed up" after my hair has grown out more. I highly recommend Erica for hair extensions.

Matt is the BEST. I have known Matt for over 20 years and I have had many hairdressers from time to time in that 20 years.

Matt is the best hairdresser I have ever had! Especially

with my short hair. I will never trust it to anyone else. It

also helps that he is a perfectionist and will not let you out of his chair until you BOTH are satisfied with your

cut and style. You cannot beat the cost either. It's nice that he does not raise his price up and up every 6 mos

so much that you can no longer afford your hair cut. The salon is very cool too. A large number of these stylists

have been together for over 15 years. Moved many times together and are still together today. That speaks volumes to me as a customer. I highly suggest if you are looking for a stylist go to Blue Mambo and give Matt a try-you will not be disappointed!!

Best Salon and Stylist in Houston. After paying outrageous prices at other salons and boutiques throughout Houston, I researched Blue Mambo on City Search and Yahoo and decided to try it based on its 5 star review. Everything that others said was true! I felt as if I had stepped back into the land of Austin. Everyone was very laid back, yet professional and came from many different upscale salons. Now, about my stylist, Chris. He was INCREDIBLE!

I had not had my hair styled in 4 months as I was trying to let it grow and it looked horrid when I went in, but he ran with it. The highlights turned out better than any I have ever had and the cut is totally ME! He was very down to earth and took his time with me which was very nice...the conversation flowed and was not forced, the products were not pushed and the price was more than reasonable! I have found a new salon and a new stylist to call home!!!!

ERICA BALDWIN IS THE GREATEST. She transformed my moms and my life.Shes incredible. Lets start from the beginning, my mom to tell you the truth didnt have good hair. It was dry and brittle and my mom just didnt like it. She had used extensions before and hated them but when erica convinced my mom to do it the extensions turned out WONDERFUL. It looks amzing and even before the extensions erica did this great deep conditioning treatment that worked like a charm. Now my mom has beautiful hair plus its really soft and it looks so healthy!!!! Now onto my story. I have really course thick curly hair and I could never do anything with it. It would always frizz up and I could never control it. I have been to many hairstylists and im telling you the truth Erica has been the best!! She transformed my hair to sleek smooth and shiny and gave me a new look. She really transforms lives and my mom and I are so happy with these transformations. If you go to Erica you are never going to change because shes the greatest.

ERICA BALDWIN TRANSFORMS LIVES. For as long as I can remember, I've had baby fine hair and always believed that I simply had to live with it. But then I discovered there were options! My first experience with hair extensions was when I lived in Hawaii. I thought I found a savior in the hair stylist that introduced me to them.

I moved to Houston In 2005, and was desperate to find someone who could provide the same service I received in Hawaii. Then I found Erica, and she supremely surpassed any expectation I ever had. She transformed my look in a way that no professional hair stylist has ever been able to accomplish. I can't even begin to comment on the compliments I receive and the pure shock in people's faces when I tell them I have extensions.

Erica's professionalism and expertise is only surpassed by her genuine good hearted nature. She is a one-of-a-kind hair stylist and I would strongly recommend her to anyone!

ERICA IS A MIRACLE WORKER. For years I used to go to Visible Changes to get my hair done. I've been coloring my hair for about five/six years and have always enjoyed changing my hair color. However, when I decided to go from blonde to black, my hair was greatly damaged.

After having black hair for a few months I decided I wanted to switch to something less drastic and Visible Changes told me there was nothing they could do.

A few months later I stumbled across ERICA who not only tooke me from black to blonde but also put in beautiful extensions. It was such a relief after months of looking at my damaged hair.

Additionally, after a month of seeing her my hair's condition has dramatically improved.
