Wayne Franks stole our money too and never finished our outdoor kitchen. We won our lawsuit but have not collected any money from him. WARNING: Do not use him!!!

Its not our Homescape its our nightmare.

Wayne Franks stole our money and did not complete the project. Beware. Check the BBB ask for recent references. We were fooled by the pictures on the website and fancy 3-D design. It appears he may have done good work years ago, but he was horrible. He couldn't coordinate subs, most of them quit on him. Delays, excuses, needing more money you name it. In the end after wasting our summer, he took our money for stone and appliances and a metal roof over $20K and walked said we'd have to finish the project ourselves. P.O.S.

I have been meaning to write a review about this company for a long time. PLEASE do not use them. Their staff is completely inexperienced and lack professionalism. Their owner, Wayne, brushed me off after just asking for a "basic" outdoor kitchen design. He said it wasn't worth his time. I've never heard of a company that cherry-picks during a bad economical time that we are in now. So if you are in the market for spending $20,000 or less, do not contact this company!

I would not recommend using Outdoor Homescapes. I requested a quote from this company as I was prepared to start the project. One of their representatives called me, and was very hesitant in offering any type of service. He recommended that I go to Home Depot or find another company to build my outdoor kitchen. As I tried to pursue further details about their project, the representative laid out the costs giving the impression I was not appropriately budgeting for the project. The representative was not professional and lost any type of business I would have provided or any recommendations. If this is how this company gives off a first impression, I doubt they can provide a quality service.

I am the owner of the Outdoor Homescapes job featured in the Sept 2011 show case on their web site. Although the job took much longer than was estiamted we are pleased with the workmanship and the service that Wayne and his team have provided after we finished. It has been great to have someone one who stands behind their work and makes repairs or adjusments on a timely and friendly manner. Everyone that comes to our home comments on the quailty of work.

Love my outdoor kitchen. We interviewed several companies, and the main thing Outdoor Homescapes brought to the table was design. We struggled with the shape of our kitchen, and Wayne worked with us to come up with a design that was unique, extremely functional, fit in with the look of our home, and most importantly, fit our lifestyle. No other company came close.

Just like all construction jobs, nothing gets done as fast as you would like, but the end product is fantastic. We are very pleased with our kitchen.

Great Outdoor Kitchen. Wayne completed a small outdoor kitchen on our patio and we just love it. He was very good to work with and came by many times to look at the work and discuss any issues. While we had delays, this was mainly because we decided to buy the grill on our own instead of using Wayne. He called me immediately to let me know that there was a problem/delay in getting the tile for our backsplash. I was then able to find it at another vender and we had it resolved in a matter of days.

We did have an issue with the final fit of our grill, but Wayne worked with is to resolve the problem and it all looks wonderful. We would use Outdoor Homescapes again and recommend them no matter the size of your project.

Experiance is a plus!!. Over the holidays we decided to move forward with our outdoor kitchen plans for our lake house in Livingston. After months of quotes and trying to find an experienced Houston based company to take on a job in Livingston we finally decided on Homescapes. Wayne was very responsive and was willing to take on a project almost 2 hours away. After review of our plans, Wayne made a few suggestions, we were constrained by the fact we had an existing slab, existing deck and utilities and had to figure out how to construct a kitchen within these constraints. Our kitchen was therefore not your “normal” construction project and plans had to be adjusted to ensure we could use the existing infrastructure without compromising quality and utility. The quoted price was well within our budget which we had established from our other quotes...so much so that we were able to add a lighted pergola. The final product turned out beautifully and considering most of the work was preformed unsupervised as this is a weekend home, and given the weather and holidays Wayne was able to complete our kitchen within 6 weeks. A lesson learned but not a complaint I would have preferred a written detailed schedule of the scope of work, so we could plan our time to see the progress. Overall I believe Homescapes met our expectations and we are enjoying out outdoor kitchen.

Great Outdoor BBQ and Bar. in June of last summer i conacted this company to discuss adding an outdoor bar and BBQ structure. they were very responsive. Wayne came out soon after my call and made some measurements. being an engineer, i has a pretty set opinion of what i wanted. wayne suggested a few changes, which when put on paper looked good and turned out very well. I was quoted a fair price and was told the materials would be dropped off the next Friday and the work would start the following moday and take 7-10 working days. Wayne showed up with the crew Monday am and the project started. There were always 2 workers on the job and most of the time 3. Wayne called every day and stopped by a couple of times. The work only took 5 1/2 days and the extra half day was because my natural gas line that was 17 tears old had a couple of leaks and I had to get a gas man out to repair it and bring it up to code. I entertain a lot and everyone has raved about the quality, appearance, and functionality. Three people have called me for a recommendation and I have gladly endorsed this company to them. If I ever move and want to add this type of addition to my new place, I would only call Outdoor Homesapes. For me, there would be no reason to call anybody else. I joke to my friends that the unit is constructed so well that if I ever see a Tornado coming I am climbing inside it. The house may go, but this unit is not moving ! If you want to do a project of this nature, contact them. you will be glad you used them.

GRETA JOB ON MY OUTDOOR KITCHEN. LAST DECEMBER, OUTDOOR HOMESCAPES GAVE ME A BID ON A STATE OF THE ART OUTDOOR KITCHEN. AFTER WE FINE TUNED THE APPLIANCES, WROK BEGAN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.WORK PROGRESS WELL, IN FACT WAYNE AND HIS CREW FINISHED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. WAYNE MADE SURE I WAS HAPPY WITH ALL THE COMPONENTS AND THE WORKMANSHIP, CALLING AND VISITING OFTEN. I CANNT BRAG ENOUGH ON THIS COMPANY AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. I AM AVAILABLE TO SPEAK TO ANYONE WHO HAS RESERVATIONS ABOUT THEIR VENTURE WITH THIS COMPANY.
