Next Is Where Its At
by Jayboi07 at Citysearch
Oh my goodness this club is so much fun me and my crew go every saturday at first the club was just to packed its no room to dance or anything. But since they remodeled it and expanded with the existing club next door Pashaa all that has changed. The other side of Next is so roomy and way more elegant and for a change its really cold in the club now they have way more seating room the lighting is fantastic. The drinks are way to pricy though, but really strong. I like the club though espically since it has 2 dance floors and 2 djs now. I would suggest if you havent tried next out I think you should but get there early because the line is always long and the bouncers take forever to let people in the club. Thats another thing i hate about Next is the line, the bouncers always hold the line they do it because they dont be wanna let alot of females in for free b4 11 so they hold the line first they might let 20 ppl in and then stop and we wait for like 10 minutes then they let more ppl in then they stop and so on and so forth. But besides the pricy drinks, the extensive wait in the lines this is the club to be on Saturday nite
- Pros: LIGHTING, ATMOSPHERE, MUSIC
- Cons: EXTENSIVE WAIT IN THE LINES, OVERPRICE DRINKS
Never again.

When Next first opened, we would go there all the time and always had fun. I made friends with the bartenders, and even knew a few from a lot of the clubs I used to frequent. Then, one day, an organization that I belonged to was having a convention in Houston, so we arranged to have a private party (pre-paid ticket holders only admitted) at the club on a night that they were normally closed. Well, upon arrival to the private party, that I had a hand in arranging, the arrogant door guy made me remove my hat. I was wondering why I should remove my hat when it is a private party that was pre-paid. What if we were having an 80's party? whould he make me conform to his dress code? I don't think dress codes should conform to private parties. Anyway, he became excessively rude, took my hat, and threw it, right in front of two Houston Police Officers who were hired as security. Well, the officers didn't care that the guy was the one being aggressive, and basically forced me off the property. So, long story short, This was a year ago when this happened, and I went from going there twice a month to never setting foot in that place ever again. I have been partying in houston for the past 11 years, and never have I been treated this way. Everyone is always nice to me and with that, I recommend other places that treat their paying customers with respect.
- Pros: I wouldn't know anymore.
- Cons: Very rude staff, Aggressive, HPD officers working second jobs there are rude as well.
Thursday College Nights
by kitkatkathee at Citysearch
I haven't really been to this club on the weekend, so I'm not sure how the atmosphere is. But I'm sure the club is always populated by Asians. On Thursdays are college nights. It doesn't really feel like a club on Thursdays, mostly because no one dances at all and everyone just sits around and drinks. It's more of a relaxing lounge. It has open bar too, so thats cool. If you're looking just to chill out then Thursday nights are cool at Next.
- Pros: Open Bar On Thursdays
- Cons: Empty On thursdays
