“The people and the club are nice looking but thats where the fun stops.”
“It's a great place to lounge and drink with friends.”
“you can always step outside for a breathe of fresh air and enjoy the music and drinks from the outdoor bar anytime.”
“greaty place to have a good drink, dance the night away.”
“The service was so bad that I left and will never return.”
“The service is great and the atmosphere is fun also.”
“But they will only stoke it if you pay the big bucks.”
Must See!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!!.
You don't want to wait in line, you don't want to pay a lot for a drink, you don't want to have to dress nice...you obvioulsly don't know what a nicer, higher-end club is like. Maybe you should go hang-out at a pool hall.
Personally, I love Crome. I don't go there every weekend, but it is one of my faves!! I love the staff, and the whole atmosphere of the club. Sundae Fundae in the best now.... I love the Cabanas!!! Bottle sevice is the way to go!!!
BY FAR THE LARGEST PARTY IN HOUSTON!. I have been an avid bar patron since the late 90's and attending Crome since the first day they opened. There has never been a time that I felt as if this club was not the hottest of hot spots in Houston. With their ever changing theme parties and interior, every time at Crome is a new experience. Along with their gorgeous bar staff, Crome by far is a place to see and be seen. I enjoy the lay out of the club with mutiple bars to order drinks from as well as their amazing patio cabanas in which a group of friends can lounge with their favorite bottle of liquor. In my personal opinion, I highly recommend you to this bar. Go by yourself, get a group of pals together or even that hottie for a first date. There is plenty of people watching and of course tons of eye candy! Maybe I'll see you there....
By far Hottest spot in Houston. I am a somewhat regular at Crome, and my friends and I have always gotten first class treatment there. The only negative things that I here about this club, is that it is a bit intimidating. It's the place to see and be seen. Whenever I travel the first thing I want to know is where do the celebs go when they come to town? I can tell you when people come to town, they want to go to Crome. I don't think there is a more georgous crowd anywhere in Houston. The bartenders are all badass, the waitresses are by far the hottest and hardest working around. I mean come on, have you been to other clubs and gotten bottle service, and they just sit a bottle with some stuff on your table and you see them again when its time to pay your tab? These hot mamas hook it up! The owner has even come over to our table and offered us a complimentary bottle of champagne for my boyfriends birthday. I go to brunch at other places on Sunday and everyone is talking about going to Crome after. So if you want to experience what "H" town is all about, you have to know about Crome. Just go there and see how you are treated.
CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. BY FAR THE MOST PROFESSIONALLY RUN NIGHTCLUB IN HOUSTON, GREAT CROWD, IF YOU HAVENT HEARD OF SUNDAY FUNDAE YOUR OBVIOUSLY A TOURIST. ITS A STAPLE IN HOUSTON. THEY HAVE A GOOD LOOKING STAFF AND EMPLOY THE FASTEST BARTENDERS I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED, KNOW MATTER HOW PACKED IT IS, YOU WONT WAIT TO LONG TO GET A DRINK. CROME IS ALSO KNOWN FOR THIER BOTTLE SERVICE. ATMOSHERE IS AMAZING WITH ELEVATED VIP SECTIONS, BADASS PATIO, AND INSANE LIGHTING..ALSO SMOKE FREE INSIDE. IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY YOU NEED TO CHECK IT OUT.
Never Going Back....
I was formerly a Sundae Fundae fixture, going at least twice a month for the last year or so, but the treatment I received last week nixed any future patronage to this lounge.
I was amazed when the new bouncer insisted that I wait in a long line to be admitted into the club.
"The line is over there, sweetie," he said, turning his back to me and dismissing me as a 'nobody.'
I am not accustomed to waiting in line at Crome or being treated so disrespectfully, especially when I have faithfully attended Sunday Fundae since last summer.
In fact, I would rather die than wait in line at Crome. My grandmother always told me that if you can't go first class, stay at home.
I am an unescorted female... I had heard rumors of the bouncers at Crome being 'tough' on single guys and making them shell out exorbitant 'tips' to get in the door... but I have never encountered such treatment in my life.
After insisting that I would not be allowed in unless I was on the 'Myspace' guest list (how lame is that?) or if I 'knew' someone inside, I told the prissy bouncer at the door to have a nice night and left.
I spoke with a police officer on my way to my car, who said that Crome was shut down the last two weekends in a row due to overcrowding.
But this explanation does not justify the fact that they treated me like white trash.
So I will never go again.
Some of these reviews make me laugh, God forbid some of these people go to NYC or Miami or other top cities cause YES, the top clubs do exactly that. They scan their guests cause thats what top clubs do. I am a club mgr at a club in NYC and visited Crome recently and was pretty impressed. Personally, I would be even tougher at the door. A club is meant to go dressed to impress, if you want to go to 21 under clubs, then go to them and don't complain. I passed through on their Sunday patio party and that was something else. The music had everyone enjoying themselves (which the woman there are something else - Wow), while the bartenders kept a good turn out at the bars. Overall, I can see why I was told to check out Crome if ever in Houston. So Crome, keep going in the direction your going and you will be just fine. For all the cry babies, grow up and understand it's a business at the end of the day!
Hey Carlos, pleasure meeting you and if you ever pass by NYC, come check us out.
From one club manager to another.
The worst management/owner in town. The service was so bad that I left and will never return. I plan to tell everyone of his rudeness..
I visited this establishment and found the management/owner, Carlos to be quite the unprofessional. Maybe, he should visit The Belvedere or Buddha Lounge and take some lessons on manners and service.
I would not recommend this establisment to anyone. I hear the staff is leaving, because the business is going down the drain. Carlos, the owner/manager is so rude I can totally see why.
Looks Nice. This place looks nice but is pretentous. It is really just a place to be seen in Houston, or it was about a year ago. If you come here on a Friday or Saturday Night, expect to be juged at the door, you must be in expensive clothes unless you're a girl of course. Lots of pretty girls come here too. Drinks are on the high end
Watch out !. The Crome Bar itself seems to be trying very hard in making a name within the city. However, everyone be aware and take precaution of your belongings as the valet unit the bar uses has sticky fingers. I visited the club on 4/13/07 and contents from my vehicle were stolen !!!!!!!!!!!! I spoke to the clubs general manager Carlos and he stated that the club is not responsible for my belongings. Since then, I spoke with Alex on 4/19/07 who is the owner of the valet unit and he stated he would do an investigation. You guessed it, I have left many messages on Alex's voice mail on 4/25/07, 4/26/07, 4/27/07, 5/14/07. He finally returned my call on 4/26/07 but only to state that he was glad that called because he lost my number. Since then, I have not heard back from him at all. This Club and Valet unit is very very shady !
Worst Place Ever!. I had the worst experience ever! I ordered bottle service bc I wanted to sit in the VIP area for my birthday. My friend was in line for the restroom, & the bathroom attendant let everyone behind her go before her that was either Asian or Hispanic. When she confronted her, the lady just ignored her. Around 1, I went to the restroom, & when I came out, she started yelling at me for regurgitating. I told her that I didn't know what she was talking about (because I really didn't) & she just kept yelling at me. I had had enough, so after the dispute, I was fired up & told my boyfriend to get someone who worked there for me. When I started explaining it to him, he walked me outside & told me to sit down because I needed to calm down. I told them what happened, & I was fired up because she had been yelling at me for absolutely no reason, & nobody was doing anything about it; somehow I was the one at fault to them, because they wouldn't let me move. I started crying because they were ruining my birthday, & then they just said, "Oh, she's just extremely intoxitated." That made me even MORE upset because I wasn't (one of the ppl that worked there told me that he understood me because I didn't do anything wrong, nor was I intoxicated). There were police outside, & I told them to go ahead & give me a breathalizer test bc they can do that since I'm not indoors, & I would prove to them that I wasn't intoxicated, but they wouldn't listen. They took me to a dark corner inside & forced me to sign the tab even though it was too dark to see, & didn't even give me a chance to grab the receipt. I called the GM the next day, then called him back the day after so he would have a chance to talk to the manager that was there, & the manager made up a big lie to save himself ab how I couldn't even walk. That doesn't make sense bc the police would have taken me in for public intoxication if it was true. He was EXTREMELY rude, & hung up on me. This is THE WORST experience I've ever encountered.
