Great key lime pie! Skip the rest.. Great key lime pie . Skip the rest. Over priced....under delivered. I had the trout. my wife had the fish tacos. Neither were good.

cozy, friendly and great food. friends told me how good this place is, so I tried it for lunch with my sis. Although it was busy, service was quick and food was delicious. try worlds best fish taco, or the prime salad lunch. both were great and the cuban bread pudding was to die for. will be back. wish they had more parking.

Poor Quality over priced. We were very disappointed in the quality of our meal. They serve a wonderful looking meal but the flavor and quality just don't match. The rib eye I received was tuff and grizzly. The vegetable melody served to my wife was cool to the touch. We have had better meals for half the price (over 50 for two without alcohol). We don't mind paying extra for a quality meal but this just wasn't one.

Exellent meal and experience. Went to South Shore Grill recently to grab dinner on a Friday night - had great foot and excellent service. Definitely a place I can see myself going on a regular basis, and I would recommend it to anyone else.

Not worth it. This spot seems frequented (perhaps due the outdated 4 1/2 star review or lack of options in the area) so we tried it a few times before deciding there was no point in going back to waste more time and money. The service is slow and disinterested; but harder to get over is the excessive prices compared to the quality of the food received & stuffy atmosphere. In fact, as we've enjoyed meals at other local eateries, discussion occasionally turns to what a waste of space this restaurant is. We adore non-commercial restaurants and make it a point to seek them out, and we would love more options in the area (there are already plenty of Tex-Mex or Mexican). It is so sad that this one is so pitiful we can't bring ourselves to go again. I can not say it was not memorable - we continue to discuss how baffled we are that it remains in business. Honestly, this is the first time we can recall being hopeful a restaurant would turn over.

Rapidly gone down hill. Not good. We have been here several times and it was good. This time we had bad service, never got all of the food we ordered, and never got the bill adjusted as promised. They recently raised the prices quite a bit as well. Paid 20% more for worse service and less food. We aren't going back.

delicious food, friendly service, and rich warm interior.. I enjoy writing good reviews, and this was exceptional. Dropped in for lunch at a very busy time, restaurant was full, hostess found us a comfortable booth in the bar area. Several large parties did not slow down the food or friendly server. This place has great mojitos and a Cuban/American cuisine that is very interesting. The key lime pie is the best.

Best food in Clear Lake. I don't usually take the time to tell others about my dining experiences, but I enjoyed my stay at the South Shore Grille so much that I felt compelled to pass along the good word. The special that night was the Grouper and Shrimp Havana and it was out of this world. The fish was perfectly cooked and is possibly the best grouper I have ever experienced. The competent service and relaxed atmosphere only heightened the pleasant impression the place left on me. The owner was also kind enough to stop by our table to make sure we were satisfied. In short, we were. If you live in the Clear Lake area, you are going to have a hard time finding a restaurant that is all at once relaxed, inviting, and possessed of such a great diversity of seafood and turf menu items...all with a Cuban/South of the Border flair.

Great American-Cuban cuisine, wonderful selection, extremely unfriendly service.. South Shore Grill has one of the best menus in town. My family and friends frequent this restaurant on a weekly basis. They have something to satisfy anyone. One of my many favorites is the Chicken Salad Lunch or Dinner. It's available on both menus. It's the moistest, most delicious chicken salad served atop iceburg and field green lettuce. It is surrounded by tomatoes and toast points with avacado, then drizzled with a balsamic dressing. The chicken salad has a great texture, including chopped walnuts and pineapple. The service is scarce. My last visit turned sour the minute we reached the hostess stand when we arrived. It was a very unpleasant experience, but we chose to stay anyway. It's a shame that one bad situation can ruin your whole perspective. We were never apologized to, although the opportunity arose more than once. I loved this restaurant, but will now choose to call in an order for pick up, or just not return at all. What a shame. I probably wouldn't feel this way if we were visited by an owner/manager and apologized to. It was very odd. It left a very bad taste in my mouth.
