Horrible book store. Worst Place EVER!!!

My ex and i took forty books to sell there and only got 2 dollars for them. my bf at the time said ok sure while i asked why only 2 dollars.

the woman behind the counter said some have a name in them or other things such as a dot on the side of the cover. i told her i bought most of my books from here for a lot more money in those same conditions, she then informed me in a very rude way after huffing and puffing like i should never talk to her that that didn't mean she'd take them back at full price,

a week later those same books were being sold for 5 to 9 dollars and i made my ex buy as many of them as he could back with his own money... Never again will i sell books or shop there again

Worst Experience I have ever had!!! Horrible Customer Service. I have never in my life been treated as rudely as I was today at Half Price Books on Westheimer in Montrose. Today I took twenty to thirty hardback books to sell. The girl in the buy back department was the rudest employee I have ever met. She started to argue with me in front of four - five customers. I asked her a question, heavens for bid, which she never answered. This sent her into an uncontrollable power trip. She was belligerent, hostile, aggressive, you name it. Arguing back and forth, then she threatened and insulted me. I will never recommend this store to anyone. Horrible experience, horrible personnel. Even the fellow employee started talking about what a "b#%4h" she is. (this was obvious). Amazing how stores hire people like this. She totally acted like she was the authority figure, which is sad cause of her buy back power!

Do not give any business to this place!!
