Great Chinese Food!. I've lived in Pearland for less than 6 months and have been looking for a great Chinese food place. I am very happy to have found this place! I ordered the Spicy Beef, and it was THE best I have ever had. My bf ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Hunan Style "extra extra spicy" - it was extremely spicy, and he was happy! We both ordered the fried rice with the meals, and it was great. Oh, and we did take out, and the food was great when we got home! Can't wait to go back!!

One of my faves!. I had heard lots about this place since I am in the pearland area quite a bit. I am not really a big sushi person, but my husband loves it. So we always order it from there. I also love their Mongolian triple delight. One of my faves!!! They also deliver which is awesome!

Delivery is good too.... I get delivery from Kappa's all the time and have never been dissatisfied with either the service or the food. That being said, I always ask what the fresh sushi of the day is.

6/9/2010 - Updated my rating from 5 stars (originally post that on 4/09) to 3 stars. Not sure what is going on with Kappa's but the food quality is now no longer dependable. Some days it is great while other days it is not so great. The fresh sushi is still very good, but their cooked items (like fried rice) is up and down. Here lately, it has gotten bad enough we’ve started searching for a new “sushi” restaurant. The biggest issue is delivery – not many in the area do.

1st and last time to have delivered. I love yellowtail and Spicy tuna, but from here has to be the worst I've ever had. It was like they scraped some tuna out of a can and put a whole bunch of sauces and mashed it up. The Yellowtail actually smelled like a swamp. Needless to say I have an upset stomach now. I will not be returning unless I just want some rice.

Good quality sushi. Kappa is a continual favorite of my family and friends for quality sushi at a reasonable price. Yes, the restaurant is in a strip shopping center and small in sq. footage, but it is good for groups of 6 or less, has great service, and is very dependable for the variety of fresh sushi (especially smoked salmon) that is offered as well as other Asian/Chinese dishes.

A Casual Place for Sushi. It is in a shopping center, so it lends a casual atmosphere and is very family-friendly. As mentioned below, there is a playground outside the back entrance. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The chinese food is pretty typical, but good. The staff is attentive and friendly. The delivery service is also fast and friendly. We will continue to eat here!

Best in Pearland...great delivery people.. We OFTEN order for delivery. We regularly dine in. It is a nice place to take the kids...there is even a playground in back that you can see from the back tables so you can send the kids out when they are finished eating.

It is intimate (small) but I wouldn't call it romantic really. But, it's probably close enough for our area.

Then sushi is really good for the reasonable prices. Our family favorite is the house special fried rice. :-)

Excellent little secret. Don't let the fact that Kappa is located in strip center fool you. This is quality chinese and japanese food. Sushi is always fresh, the food is always warm, and the staff is always looking to please. If you live in Pearland and like this type of food, Kappa is a must.

charming restuarant gives great fish.. I have eaten here on no fewer than 10 occasions, without fail my Nori was crisp, the fish was perfectly fresh. I can say the real diference here is size. Such a close working relationshio between staff and sushi chef means your fish gets to you quick.

Now I would expect people to start traveling to Pearland to enjoy this little gem.

The service always tries to please.
