In Short – A casual coffeeshop-like atmosphere encourages lingering while the menu insures that part-time vegetarians and vegans alike will feel right at home. Salads like the guacamole with pico de gallo and tempeh Caesar salad make the perfect lunchtime combo with a bowl of the vegan soup de jour, burger or vegan BBQ sandwich. Main entrees include a seasonal macrobiotic platter, eggplant Parmesan and veggie fajitas. The chef will gladly make any item on the menu vegan.

Healthy Food!

I'm not a 100% vegetarian but I am not a meat lover at all, so the first time I tried this place, I had a soy chicken salad and it was delicious. I am not a big fan of chicken, and I hate red meats so having the soy chicken salad hit the spot for me! Not a real meat, but still has that mild chicken taste to it which I love! Staffs are very friendly and kind.
ONE OF THE BEST VEGGIE PLACES IN TOWN!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The people are quite friendly and one always feels welcome to linger over the wonderful food. The homemade fries are wonderful and bountiful. The fish tacos are divine--and the garlic sauce is great on everything. The vegan chocolate cake must be experienced to be believed as it is truly sublime. I could go on about everything I've tried here--suffice to say, none of it has disappointed me. The portions are quite generous. Personally, I could eat here everyday and feel good about it!
They should bottle their garlic sauce!
- Pros: Food is worth the trip
- Cons: Parking in a strip mall
Field of Greens, the best veggie restaurant in the city, you got to try it out !

Field of Greens is the best veggie restaurant in the city, you got to try it out. I recomment it to anyone who is interested in healthy / veggie food without reservation. Even for meat lovers, you won't be disappointed at Field of Greens. Some of my friends and colleagues who are not vegetarians said to me, "Becoming vegetarian will be so easy and enjoyable if I can eat in Field of Greens everyday. You don't have to sacrify.". The food served there are very fresh, healty yet tasty. Soups, salads, burgers (Eden Burger is my favorite), fries (Tofu fries, it's a must try, much more healthier and delicious that regular fries, not greasy at all), fajitas, deserts (without sugars, what a surprise!), soy fish, whole grain organanic toasts .... mmm, yummy! I can't wait to go to Feild of Greens to enjoy my day. They can make verything vegan if you ask.The service is good, staffs are friendly; also the ambient, very cozy. The owner is very creative in making such a wonderful menu of so many selections of veggie food. I wish I can make Field of Greens as my own kitten so that I can eat there everyday :).

I have visited many cities in the country. As a vegetarian/ vegan for more than 12 years, it's always such a joy and surprise for me to have a good vegetarian restaurant to eat while away from home. *** Field of Greens*** in Houston Texas is really a BIG SURPRISE for me that I will recommend to the vegetarian / vegan community without reservation!
The food (Mexican, Italian, Indian, & Asian food) served in Field of Greens is very healthy yet delicious. They can make everything vegan as long as you ask! Salads are so fresh yet colorful and tasty, soy fish and whole grain bread made my day :), the Tofu fries taste sooooooo good yet not greasy at all, the soups are good, veggie fajitas and the flavor of the wheat roast are so enjoyable.
Succulent healthy food, nice service and cozy atmosphere make it a favorite. While spending my Thanksgiving in Houston, FIELD OF GREENS is a great joy which made the holiday the warmest Thanksgiving I have ever had. I will come to visit it whenever I have a chance to visit Houston in the future. And definitely, I will try out all items on the menu :).
To conclude, Field of Greens in Houston is one of the best restaurants in the country, whether you are vegetarian or not, you will love it !
- Pros: great food healthy yet delicious, nice service, good anbience
Not Organic
by staciec
So, I went to dine at this restaurant after reading about it here, I am a long time (10 yr) vegetarian and was excited about the reviews of it being an organic restaurant. When I walked in I immediately noticed how brightly green it is, ok no problem. I went to the counter to place my order, under the sign that says "order", after looking at the menu board and discussing my options with the girl at the counter, who was very friendly, I decided to order the vegetarian fajitas and a side salad, I think my total was something like $15. I continued to talk to the person behind the counter while my food was being prepared, I asked her where they get their organic produce and she told me, to my surprise, that they do not use organic produce!! I then asked her if anything that I was ordering was organic and she said the tortilla, and the rice. I decided to just sit down and wait for my food to be ready, she brought it out to me and told me to "enjoy". I ate my salad and found that the garlic dressing was too peppery, for it being a garlic dressing they should not overdue it with the pepper. I went on to the fajitas, they where marinated in some tahinni which gave it a good flavor but it was so oily, the fajitas and the peppers on top where drenched in oil, making me wonder what was healthy about that. The beans where dry and flavor less, the only thing that tasted good was the guacamole. I will not be returning to dine here because there are way better places to eat that have vegetarian food that actually has some good seasoning and is reasonably priced.
