Don't be fooled!. Don't be fooled by the appearance when you first drive up! This place is GREAT! It has some of the best food I have had since moving to Houston! Great service, clean restaurant, nice ambiance, great food!
When I die please bury in in a Cafe Mezza Falafel.. This place is sooooo good. I'm hooked. Their Shish Tawook is amazing and the Red Pepper dip with Pomegranate Molasses is incredible. Never had anything bad here- it's all very fresh, nothing is greasy- I'm a very health conscious person and very particular about how food is prepared- everything is always fresh and light. Love this place. Service is always wonderful as well. Two thumbs up and snap.
Houston's Best Fusion Restaurant.
We have been a long time customers of Cafe Mezza and We have always had GREAT SERVICE and AWESOME FOOD.
My wife and I eat out at least 3-4 times a week and we can honestly say that the service we get at Cafe Mezza is much better and superior to any other restaurant we go to in Houston.
We have been there with large groups and with just our kids and service, food and management have been wonderful. Mistakes are made and people are human!! So when I see a review like the one from "clarisamiranda" it really bothers us!!!!
We have been recently to Cheesecake Factory where there was NO service at all and the food quality is mediocre, and Los-Cucos where we had to wait over 10 minute for a glass of water and 15 minute to get small plates for our appetizers, not to mention our waiter was on his "CELL PHONE" most of the time and that is why our orders were ALL WRONG on top of that we were over charged on our check....However we can't say the same about Mark's restaurant since we go there as well, the food & the service are GREAT.
Overall, Cafe Mezza has kept up with their food quality and their service since they open and it "SHOWS" with ALL the previous reviews they have.
Management SUCKS.
I went for dinner with a group of friends (8 total). I was ordering wine and appetizers for our table; it was great! We all ordered our entrees. I ordered a chicken dish; the food came out and I received a shrimp salad. I told the server that's not what I ordered, that I don't even eat shrimp, and he admitted he messed up. He told me it would be 10-12 mins for me to get my originally ordered dish, so I told him I would eat the salad minus the shrimp because I can't eat shrimp.
If you were a restaurant manager, wouldn't you automatically comp this lettuce???
I would think so, but when I got the check the salad was on there (that I didn't order) which I never argued. I paid, and it was a friend of mine sitting at the table who questioned the salad charge that caught the attention of a manager who stopped by the table (after I paid) to insert his 2 cents. He said "We didn't charge you for the shrimp because you didn't eat them." To which I replied, "You charged me for a salad I never ordered." He said, "But you ate the salad." And I said, "Yes, I ate the salad because I had nothing else to eat while all my friends were eating!"
End of story: I paid full price for lettuce I never ordered, and I WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN! The manager should have just never came by because he made it worse!
Great food, even better prices.
This place was so incredibly good:) I loved it! The atmosphere was great, the food, amazing, and the prices, even better.
I had the mixed grill. The plate was perfect. I enjoyed every second of the chicken kufta, beef kufta and the chunks of shish kabob, the side of rice and grilled veggies. This was the perfecct meal.
This place is perfect to stop by after shopping at the Galleria, which is only a few mintues away. Its located right by the Melting Pot, and its a definate must if youre in the area.
Give it a try. Great food, great service and the most delicious turkey sandwich in the world. Who knew that turkey could be so tasty. I wish i could say I've tried other things here but I'm hooked on the turkey.
Great Food. My co-workers and i were looking for a lunch spot close to the Galleria and we stumbled across Mezza. We were seated immediately and our server was very prompt to take our order. It was really hard to pick our entrees since the menu is so big. All of our picks were great. Word of caution to all,the portions are Texas sized so come hungry. You have got to give this place a try.
Simply Delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. My husband and decided to give Cafe Mezza a try after some of my co-workers raved about it..... Well, all I can say is it was by far the best meal I've had in a long time. From the minute we walked in I knew we were in for a treat. We started of with a house salad and it was to die for.We then took our servers suggestion and had the Lamb Shank and the Pecan Crusted Salmon. I never knew lamb could taste so yummy. The salmon was equally delish...We managed to save a little space for the Coconut Tres Leches. I am so glad we did because it just was heavenly.... I don't know why we didn't come sooner but we will definitely be back very soon.
Pleasantly Surprised!!!!!!.
We went there for a business lunch today with my staff and I have to admit this little restaurant has exceeded my expectations by far. I have NEVER posted a review before for any restarant, however this one is a must due to the high quality, large portions, excellant service and an expansive menu.
In a nut shell, it is a high end restaurant at cafe prices.
take my word for it, you will not be dissapointed.
Great.
Everything was good from beginning to the end.
Great place. Love the lamb, it was very tasty.
