“the ambience is not bad, a bit on the trendy side and not as cozy and laid-back as some of the other thai restaurants i've been in houston, but it is a pleasant dining experience.”
“Service is horrible but food is great!”
“The servers are rude and ignore your requests.”
“The portions are large so you can share you meal and save some money even though their prices are reasonable.”
The worst food EVER!!!. This has to be the worst food I have ever tried to eat I am blown away!!!! What they call curry had pineapples and green beans in a sweet creamy sauce with hardly any flavor. The beef in the dish was tough as an old shoe!!! Totally disgusting experience and a waste of 10.77!!!
Just say ‘Nit NO!’.
Dear Nit Noi, why are you so unnecessarily greasy and sweet? Why does all your food taste the same? How do you call yourselves Thai cuisine? Have you any semblance of self-respect?
This McDonald’s of Thai food never ceases to get rave reviews from the masses, always excited to find a “new type of food” that is dummied down to tastes more inline with the same type of food they grew up on. Sure to please the “P.F. Chang’s is exotic gourmet” crowd, I will probably not scare you away from Nit Noi. In fact, you will probably like it. This makes me a sad panda.
If, by some strange chance, you would like to taste actual Thai food made with fresh herbs rather than prepackaged frozen sauces, then keep driving for a few miles and hit up Asia Market.
trendy thai restaurant. the food is great, but it doesn't have that home-cooked touch as some of the mom-n-pop thai restaurants. the ambience is not bad, a bit on the trendy side and not as cozy and laid-back as some of the other thai restaurants i've been in houston, but it is a pleasant dining experience. great place to bring a date.*
Try it and You will love it!!!. I've been eating at Nit Noi's in the Village for over 7 years. I was excited that they opened up a location in Downtown. My friends and I eat hear at least 3 times a week. We get seated promptly, our food is out quickly. Also everything tastes amazing. I highly recommend this place. The portions are large so you can share you meal and save some money even though their prices are reasonable. The only problem is parking is very limited during lunch time.
Service is horrible but food is great!. I recently took 3 friends here for lunch. We received very poor service. We were at the restaurant 30 minutes before someone came to our table; we had no silverware; drinks took 40 minutes to get and then they were wrong. In addition, we were not served our food all at the same time. One of us had to wait 1 hour to get the food. When the bill was presented, we were charged for things we did not order. The table next to us experienced the same poor service. The servers are rude and ignore your requests. However, the food is great and is priced well. I suggest you get the food to go. Do not give these servers tips that they do not deserve.
Editorial Review. One of Houston's favorite Thai restaurants brings a "cafe" concept to the fold with fast, fresh and inexpensive menu items.
