“Great customer service, great location, bad parkiing.”
“The staff is so rude.”
“Great spa pedicures, great manicures and great waxing, all at great prices.”
I will go here till the day I die! Love these ladies!.
I love this place. Its not high end or spa like but it is very clean, uncluttered and professionally ran. I have been going here for years and never, ever, ever even consider going anywhere else.
I debated writing this review since their business is already booming but after the experience I had last week I figured anyone who will treat me this good deserves my praise.
So here is what happened ... right before my nail appointment I took a bath and shaved my legs, when I got to the salon one of the ladies noticed I had cut myself, she clean, wiped and bandaged my leg!!! Like how kind is that?!?!
This is the way the staff acts all the time ... going above and beyond to make their clients happy.
They also will touch up my nail polish (hands and toes) for free in between fills if I drop by.
One thing that is important to note is they are & stay busy. Call ahead and make an appointment. There is not one stand out nail tech ... they are all great so whoever you are lucky enough to see will do a great job.
#1 NAIL SHOP. I have been coming here since 2008. I live in Katy which is about 22 miles from Montrose Nails, but it is so worth the trip. The salon is always clean and the ladies are so sweet. They play some soothing spa music and makes you feel very relaxed. The staff is very respectful and they never make me wait for my appointment, they are always on time, of course you should be on time as well:) The prices are very reasonable for such a great job they do. I love the ladies and the work they do, they will take very good care of you. I see Van for my services, but all the ladies are wonderful.
LOVE IT. I have been going to Montrose Nails for about 2 years now, every two weeks, for a mani/pedi and LOVE IT! The owners are super sweet and they really do a great job!
forget expensive spas, montose nails is the place to go.
I've gone to at least 50 different nail places from all over the country yet i always come back to montrose nails. their mani/pedis look EXACTLY like the ones you would get at an expensive spa.. except with half of the price. Staff are a bit more quiet than i would like, so come prepared with a book or magazine.
Expect ~1 hr for a pedi, for montrose nails really treats you well!
I returned to the Houston downtown area in late March. After being disappointed with two salons I checked City Search for a nail salon that received better than average ratings. WOW… I wish I had started here first. Montrose Nails is second to none.
This salon may not be “fancy” but if you are looking for the best sculptured nails in the downtown area this is the spot. Lily is amazing! My life is crazier than anyone can imagine and somehow Lily is always able to fit me into her busy schedule. The pedicure is also a very welcome treat and due to my time limitations I am thrilled they will do both at the same time. My only apprehension is that once everyone realizes this is the best nail salon inside the loop I may find it more difficult to book my appointments.
Loyal Customer. When I first moved downtown over two years ago I had the worst time trying to find a good salon. I found Montrose Nails on Citysearch and gave it a go, and I've been a loyal customer ever since. Ivy is THE BEST! I can always get an appointment and she always sees me at my set time. I've never been bumped because of a walk in and have found that most customers make appointments. The ladies are all friendly, professional, and take their time. I never feel rushed or pressured to buy any additional services, but they've always accomodated me when I've decided to add a pedicure while getting my nails done. The salon is small and parking can be hard to come by in the afternoons, but I love that they don't have televisions in the salon. All you hear is soft, relaxing music rather than the Jerry Springer you often find at other nail salons. I love them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great salon!
I'm still up in the air about this one. I've been to Montrose nails a few times. I love the service there - great ladies who do an excellent job. However, the last time I was there, a rather intoxicated loud lady was in there drinking wine and sort of ruined the relaxing side of my pedicure. The ladies apologized after she was gone and tried to hurry to get her on her way though. Another time a lady was on her cell phone the whole time and ruined the atmosphere (she had a voice that carried). Then, on the bill I noticed they charge a figure higher than I put on the bill. It was only a tiny bit, but still the principle of it sort of bothers me because I always tip well, so I haven't been back yet. I only get pedicures, but a friend of mine got a manicure there and said it was awesome. She got her nails painted with a french tip and said there were no bubbles at all and it was the best one she'd ever gotten. Soo...I would give the quality of work 5 stars, but you never know what sort of atmosphere it will be there.
Just amazing.. Went in for a mani/pedi and was lucky enough to get there as a customer left (they're very busy). Spent about an hour being spoiled. Left feeling kinda sleepy but very happy with the service and the price.
Best nail salon in town!. I have been coming to Montrose Nails for over 2 years! Lilly is exceptional! The salon is friendly, clean and very relaxing music. You never feel pressured to purchase additional services.
Great customer service, great location, bad parkiing.. I loved my first experience there. I made an appointment for a Thursday night (on 2/14) and got there about 15 minutes early. They seated me on a spa chair right away. The place is small and very relaxing. I'm not sure who it was tending to my pedicure, but she did an amazing job. They make sure you're comfortable and when its time for the massage portion, they don't hurry for that either. They surely take their time there so I agree with a previous poster to set aside an hour or so. I'd also gotten an eyebrow wax. Man, they did an excellent job! She took her time and did a beautiful job. The prices were reasonable, as well. The only thing I didn't like was the parking. They only have about 4 spaces available for the salon. But other than that I definitely recommend going to Montrose Nails. I've just made another appointment for tomorrow. Can't wait!
