Tips for Azumi Sushi

NOT good. I was early to a doctor's appointment, so I stopped in for lunch. The staff wasn't well organized; after ordering I stood in line for 15 minutes waiting to pay. The cashier was also delivering food to other customers and making tea/shakes/etc. while ringing up orders. After waiting in line for the 15 minutes, my food wasn't even ready. I finally got my food, and it was terrible. The chicken had no flavor, and the teriyaki sauce tasted like it came from a jar. It was thick and sickly sweet. Also, the picture of my meal on the board showed that it came with a side of broccoli and carrots, but my bowl had two pieces of broccoli and two carrot slices. Save your time and money and don't eat at Azumi.

FOULD FOOD SERVED, STAY AWAY. They served me rolls with foul cream cheese in particular. I got my $7 back, an apology as an afterthought, and a nauseous feeling all afternoon. How long has that pre-pepared sushi been sitting there? Who knows?

great food, cheap eats!. this little place is very convenient if u happen to be around the med center. food is great, very cheap, and portions are very reasonable! only downfall is they claim to deliver, but on numerous occasions when we attempted to place a delivery order we were told there was no delivery for that day....otherwise great little restaurant.

Done with Azumi's. i used to love this place and secretly still do and their low prices and most of the staff were friendly. Week before last i think I went on the wrong day. I ordered takeout. My tempura were cold and sogggy, my drink was not good. I feel bad because I ate the tempura anyway instead of taking it back in. I just seem to be having a streak of bad luck with sushi bars. I have been treated very well in the past by this place. They made rolls that were not on the published menu, they given me extra food when I had to wait. They are usually super nice. So Azumi if you all read this alway give the patrons fresh food. Old food goes home with you or into the trash. Remind each other to treat the customer the way you want to be treated and I will continue to help pay your bills.

I went back to try again last week. I ordered a spider roll. I wanted to add a tempura shrimp and I asked if it could be done. There used to be a chef that told me he would be more than glad to prepare off menu items. Anyway they added the shrimp after some banter and I got a very small roll with 4 small pieces even with the shrimp for $10 more. Very dissapointing. I went to Sushi Rock holcombe and their $9 spider is a succulent creation with five peices and large portion of the crab hanging out. I am done with azumis for a while.
