“The filet mignon chili has an interesting mix of flavors (I don't usually like chili, but truly enjoyed theirs) and the chocolate cake dessert is VERY rich and VERY good.”
“Expensive sports bar in the Galleria with lots of TVs”
“But terrible service, declining food quality, and absolutely horrible treatment of loyal customers ruined it.”
“Although is was about 20-30 of us, she didn't get any of the orders right and when I expressed my opinion about the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp ( a $12.95 meal that was horrible) She got an attitude and refused to bring me a menu so that I could make another s”
“really like the way the restaraunt looks and think they did a nice job of making the place look swanky and not at all like a sports bar even with tons of flat screens on the walls.”
“Ive been here twice in like the last year, I would not really recommend this place or will i go back to it.”
“service was awful.”
“The food is overpriced for the quality which is that of typical "Bar food”
“The service was incredibly slow, and many times the servers would walk right past us, ignoring our desparate attempts to get attention.”
Salads are Redeeming. The restaurant is neat if you like sports and lots of TVs. The service is fair, but you have to stare at the waitstaff in hopes that they make eye contact with you so you can signal for a refill. They have great salads, big enough for two, which I recommend.
Don't ever go here. wow, unbelievably bad service and very poor attitude from waitress. Place was about 3/4 full and it took 50 minutes to get a soup and salad for lunch. Server never apologized for wait, simply said "we have a lot of tickets" when asked why it took over 45 minutes for a cup of soup and a wedge of iceberg lettuce. food was so-so at best. After going there today, I heard the same thing about the service from about 4 different people.
not recommended. food below average, special menu wasn't good at all. service was awful. waiters were more interested to chat with each other than to check on their customers.
LOTS OF POTENTIAL. Visited Fox Sports Grill on a Tuesday night. Maybe 30 people inside. Very impressive atmosphere. Server nice but only showed up to take our order and deliver our check. Food took forever coming out (salad, soup and an app) and no drinks were refilled. Was charged nearly $20 for a Mexican Martini. Most expensive drink I've had and I've lived in Boston! Would have complained to the waiter if we saw him more than twice. Had to find the manager and explain our issues. He was more concerned with the satellite system not working to pay attention to me. Contacted corporate and they still can't figure out the charge for the martini. Huge potential here but until they get the service figured out (even on slow nights) I would stay away.
Horrible Treatment of Loyal Customers.
We went here for every UT Football game. Each time the service and food got worse. Then came the Texas/Texas Tech game. Some of us got there an hour early to reserve a table for our party of 10 only to find out they no longer seat incomplete parties. There were many empty tables. I told the hostess we had spent over $1200.00 at FSG, but she said no exceptions. Other people simply broke the rule and took a table. When I explained this to the manager he couldn't care less. I told him we would never go back. None of us have.
The word has gotten out about this place. Each time, it was less crowded. Sad because the ambience and TV's are nice. But terrible service, declining food quality, and absolutely horrible treatment of loyal customers ruined it. All 10 of us have banned FSG.
Don't Waste Your Time!. Some coworkers and I went to the Houston Galleria location of Fox Sports Grill on Tuesday, August 30, and were very disappointed by the quality of food and drinks and the service. We put in orders for side items such as sour cream, kethup, etc that were basically ignored, even with multiple reminders. Many of our orders were incorrect, and were also never corrected with multiple requests. The food we ordered was poorly prepared - for instance, my nachos had VERY little cheese, and was not melted. The service was incredibly slow, and many times the servers would walk right past us, ignoring our desparate attempts to get attention. We were there during the "happy hour" time, and I have to say that honestly this is the worst happy hour experience I have ever had, and the restaurant was mostly empty!
Not a Good Experience.
We don't have a chance to go out often but I thought I would surprise my husband and invite his friends for a nice dinner. I was very disappointed. They steaks we ordered were dry, the bread we had to ask for were hard, and the waitress hardly came by even though it was not crowded.
Too expensive and not worth the money or the time.
Not for Average Sports Fan. Think of an upper deck ticket to a baseball game as a typical sports bar then Fox Sports Grill is the luxury box. Very few people can honeslty afford to pay that much for a sandwich and a few beers.
Good place to hangout. I went for the first time to watch the Rocket's game. Good atomsphere. Bartender was great. Food was not great. The BBQ nachos were a no-no. But it is a good place to drink, mingle and chill.
terrible service. My cousins and I went out for lunch here and the food was good, but our waitress was pretty bad. She came to us with a frown on her face the whole time, and she came to our table only 3 times-- to take our order, bring out our food, and to give us the bill. The atmosphere is nice though.
